Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar conducted a site inspection and review meeting on Friday to assess preparations for a proposed VVIP program at Noida International Airport in Jewar. During the visit, he examined the venue, helipad, parking arrangements, and other logistical preparations, and issued directions to officials to ensure that all arrangements are completed in a timely, organized, and standards-compliant manner.
The inspection was carried out in view of the upcoming high-profile event proposed at the airport. Officials said the review focused on strengthening coordination among departments and ensuring that security, traffic management, and essential public facilities are put in place without lapses.
After the site inspection, a review meeting was held in the auditorium of the YIAPL administrative office at Noida International Airport. During the meeting, Deepak Kumar stressed that security arrangements must be treated as the top priority and instructed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the event.
He said every aspect of the preparation must be completed within the stipulated timeline and according to prescribed standards. Officials were directed to maintain an integrated approach so that arrangements at the venue remain smooth, systematic, and ready well before the proposed VVIP program.
A major part of the review was devoted to traffic management around the event site and surrounding areas. The Additional Chief Secretary instructed officials to identify alternative routes in advance, implement traffic diversions where necessary, and ensure that information about such diversions is communicated to the general public ahead of time. He also directed officials to keep parking arrangements streamlined and well organized to avoid congestion and ensure hassle-free movement during the program.
In addition to security and transport planning, Deepak Kumar reviewed the availability of basic civic and emergency services at the event location. He directed the concerned departments to ensure proper arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, uninterrupted electricity supply, medical support, fire safety, and emergency response services. He emphasized that all departments must discharge their responsibilities with full accountability so that the event can be completed safely and smoothly.
The review underlined the importance of advance planning for a VVIP event at a strategically significant infrastructure project such as Noida International Airport. With the airport emerging as a major upcoming aviation hub in the region, officials are preparing to ensure that all administrative and operational arrangements meet the expected level of readiness.
Several senior officials and public representatives were present during the inspection and review meeting. Those in attendance included Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ishan Pratap Singh, Yamuna Development Authority Additional Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh, Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Medha Rupam, Yamuna Development Authority Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Bhatia, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Atul Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Manglesh Dubey, International Airport Limited CEO Christoph Schnellmann, COO Kiran Jain, City Magistrate Arvind Kumar, Jewar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abhay Durgesh Singh, DCP Poonam Mishra, ACP Jewar Sarthak Sengar, and other district-level officers concerned with the arrangements.
Officials indicated that the inspection and review were aimed at ensuring comprehensive preparedness on all fronts ahead of the proposed program. The emphasis on security, traffic control, civic facilities, and inter-departmental coordination reflects the administration’s effort to conduct the VVIP event at Noida International Airport in a secure, orderly, and well-managed manner.
