Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 7, 2026
The District Magistrate today conducted a surprise inspection of the Shiv Sai HP Gas Agency located in Village Ghanghola, Tehsil Sadar. During this inspection, the DM closely examined all arrangements and operations at the gas agency. He personally observed various aspects of its functioning and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials to ensure smooth and transparent operations. The inspection aimed to evaluate the efficiency, safety, and transparency of the gas distribution system in order to protect consumer interests and enhance service delivery.

A physical verification of the gas cylinder stock available at the agency was carried out, which included checking both the quantity and capacity of cylinders. Every cylinder was examined meticulously to ensure that all items were accounted for and maintained as per safety and operational standards. Along with the cylinders, the inspection also included a thorough review of various registers maintained at the agency to ensure that proper record-keeping and documentation practices were being followed. This review of documentation is a crucial step in maintaining transparency and accountability in the gas distribution system.
The District Magistrate also inspected the trucks used for transporting the gas cylinders. This involved a detailed assessment of whether the vehicles complied with the required standards and safety measures for transporting hazardous materials. Officials were questioned regarding delays in the arrival of cylinders and other deficiencies noted during the inspection. The DM expressed concern over any delays or lapses in the operational processes and emphasized the importance of timely and organized transportation.
In addition to transport arrangements, the presence and efficiency of the agency staff were closely reviewed. The DM observed the work practices of all employees to ensure they were following proper procedures and performing their duties effectively. During the inspection, special attention was given to the security and monitoring arrangements at the agency. The functioning of CCTV cameras installed across the premises was examined, and instructions were issued to ensure that all cameras were fully operational and continuously monitored to enhance security.
Due to insufficient police deployment at the agency, the DM instructed the local police station in-charge to ensure that adequate police presence is maintained at the agency for security purposes. This would help in maintaining continuous vigilance and safeguarding both the premises and the staff while ensuring proper compliance with all operational protocols.
Following the inspection, the District Magistrate issued clear and specific instructions to the concerned officials and the management of the agency. He emphasized that transparency, security, and consumer convenience should be the highest priority in the gas distribution system. Additionally, he directed the management to strengthen all operational arrangements and maintain all registers securely. This would ensure that consumers do not face any inconvenience and the process of gas distribution remains safe, organized, and reliable at all times.
Present during this inspection were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Ashutosh Gupta, the manager of Shiv Sai HP Gas Agency, and other staff members. Their active participation helped in providing detailed information regarding the current status of gas supply, stock levels, and operational procedures at the agency. The officials were attentive to the directives provided by the DM and assured that all instructions would be implemented without delay.

Earlier, on April 2, 2026, all gas agencies had been informed through an official press release regarding the supply of commercial gas cylinders for business purposes or special events. It was clearly notified that in Gautam Buddh Nagar, the supply of commercial gas cylinders to consumers or institutions for such purposes would be provided up to 70% of the total determined allocation. This supply is to be made through the respective gas agencies of the concerned gas companies.
Consumers and institutions seeking commercial gas cylinder supply are required to submit complete details of the number of cylinders used in the previous financial year. They must also provide proof of their PNG connection application. This information needs to be sent to the sales officer of the respective gas company via email. It is important to note that the 70% supply will only be provided to those commercial institutions and consumers who have applied for a PNG gas connection, in order to maintain fairness, transparency, and proper distribution.
The email addresses and websites for PNG connection applications for the different gas companies are as follows:
IOCL: Tiwarin1@indian-in
BPCL: pramodkumar001@bharatpetroleum-in
HPCL: gzbd-lpgso@hpcl-in
This inspection and the subsequent directives reflect the administration’s commitment to ensure proper functioning of the gas distribution system in Gautam Buddh Nagar. The measures are aimed at safeguarding consumer interests, maintaining transparency, ensuring timely delivery, and enhancing the overall efficiency and accountability of the gas agencies.
