Sports competitions under the Sports Authority of India’s ASMITA League will be organized on March 9 at the District Sports Stadium in Malkpur, Surajpur, Greater Noida, to mark International Women’s Day. The event aims to encourage sports participation among girls and women and promote a spirit of fitness and confidence through athletic activities.
According to information shared by Shivendra Singh, Deputy Director of My Bharat, Gautam Buddh Nagar, the event is being organized by My Bharat in coordination with the Sports Department, various sports associations, and the Education Department.
Athletics Competitions for Multiple Age Groups
The competitions will begin at 8:00 AM on March 9 and will primarily include athletics events. Participants will compete in 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races.
The events have been categorized into three age groups to ensure participation from a wide range of participants:
- Under-13 years
- 13–18 years
- 18 years and above
These categories will allow girls and women from different age groups to compete and showcase their athletic abilities.
Additional Recreational Sports Activities
In addition to athletics competitions, the organizers will also arrange several recreational and team-based sports activities for participants. These include:
- Badminton
- Kabaddi
- Kho-Kho
- Tug of War
Officials stated that these activities are designed to create an inclusive environment where participants can enjoy sports while also developing teamwork and physical fitness.

Venue of the Event
The event will take place at the District Sports Stadium in Malkpur, Surajpur, Greater Noida. The venue is expected to host participants from across the district who will take part in the competitions and recreational activities.
