Noida, April 14, 2026:
The Samajwadi Party’s Noida Metropolitan unit organised a series of events across the city to mark the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar. The celebrations were conducted under the leadership of Metropolitan President Dr. Ashray Gupta, with programmes held at around 14 different locations in Noida.
As part of the celebrations, a large community feast (bhandara) was organised at the party’s metropolitan camp office in Sector 53, Kanchanjunga Market. During the event, senior leaders, party workers, and women participants were also honoured for their contributions.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashray Gupta highlighted the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stating that he worked towards establishing equality, unity, and social harmony. He emphasized that Ambedkar ensured equal voting rights for all citizens, irrespective of economic or social background, through the Constitution.
Former District President Veer Singh Yadav said that Ambedkar’s efforts to bring economically weaker sections, Scheduled Castes, and backward communities into the mainstream of society remain invaluable and cannot be forgotten. State Secretary Sunil Chaudhary, along with Bharat Pradhan and former president Sube Yadav, also addressed the gathering, noting that Ambedkar played a crucial role in eliminating social evils and provided justice and dignity through constitutional provisions despite facing significant hardships.
Metropolitan General Secretary Vikas Yadav stated that Ambedkar envisioned eliminating social and economic inequalities, though the goal remains incomplete and requires continued efforts. Other leaders, including Harpal Singh, Uday Singh, Ram Saheli, and Shalini Khari, reiterated Ambedkar’s belief that political power is a key instrument to achieve broader social change.
Vice President Mohammad Naushad and Media In-charge Gaurav Kumar Yadav emphasized that the Constitution drafted under Ambedkar’s leadership guarantees equality and rights to all citizens.
They also raised concerns over alleged exclusion of marginalized communities from employment opportunities under the current government.
The party organised programmes across multiple zones in Noida, with local leaders coordinating activities in each area. Among the organisers were Jagat Chaudhary, Munna Alam, Nanhe Alam (Zone 1); Ompal Rana and Shalini Khari (Zone 2); Praveen Yadav and K.P. Yadav (Zone 3); Mohammad Naushad and Ali Sher Chaudhary (Zone 4); Bhishm Yadav, Ankur Yadav, and Kalu Yadav (Zone 5); Resh Pal Awana and Rajesh Ambawata (Zone 6); Jaikaran Chaudhary and Amit Basoya (Zone 7); Vivek Yadav and Mahkar Tanwar (Zone 8); Bablu Chauhan and Nitin Parcha (Zone 9); Manoj Goyal and Babulal Bansal (Zone 10); Vikas Yadav and Harpal Singh (Zone 11); Kalu Yadav, Anil Pandit, and Veerpal Pradhan (Zone 12); Raghvendra Dubey and the Sector 82 team (Zone 13); and Sanjay Tyagi, Ramveer Yadav, and Sonu Tyagi (Zone 14).

The events witnessed active participation from party workers and local residents, reflecting widespread engagement in commemorating the legacy and contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
