The entrance examination for admission to classes 6 and 9 at Atal Residential School in Bulandshahr will be conducted on March 8, 2026, at Government Girls Inter College, Hoshiarpur, Sector-51, Noida. The examination is being organized after the completion of scrutiny of applications received for the academic session 2026–27.
According to information provided by the Assistant Labour Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar, the Atal Residential School located in village Kaundu, Sikandrabad tehsil, Bulandshahr district, is operated by the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Admission for Children of Construction Workers and Other Eligible Categories
The admissions are specifically intended for children of registered construction workers, children who lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, and those eligible under the Chief Minister’s Child Service Scheme (General).
Officials stated that the initiative aims to provide quality residential education to children from economically and socially vulnerable backgrounds.
Seat Availability in Classes 6 and 9
For the upcoming academic session, a total of 180 seats are available in Class 6. Out of these, 80 seats are reserved for boys and 80 for girls.
For Class 9, the school has 65 seats available, including 31 seats for boys and 34 seats for girls.
These seats will be filled through the entrance examination process after evaluation of the applications submitted by eligible candidates.
Screening of Applications Completed
Following the advertisement issued earlier for admissions, applications were received from interested candidates. After thorough scrutiny and verification of the applications, officials confirmed that 253 applications were found valid.
Candidates whose applications have been approved will now appear for the entrance examination.
Examination Details
The entrance examination will be conducted at Government Girls Inter College, Hoshiarpur, Sector-51, Noida, which has been designated as the official examination center.
The exam will take place on March 8, 2026, and will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
Candidates have been instructed to reach the examination center by 9:00 AM on the day of the exam to ensure that all entry procedures and verification processes are completed on time.
Officials emphasized that timely arrival at the examination center is essential to avoid any inconvenience or delays during the examination process.
Assistance and Information for Candidates
The Assistant Labour Commissioner stated that candidates or their guardians who require any additional information or face difficulties related to the examination can contact the Labour Department office.
For assistance, they can visit the Labour Commissioner Office located at G-25A, Sector-3, Noida, where officials will provide the necessary guidance and information regarding the admission process.
Authorities have urged candidates to carefully follow the instructions related to the examination and reach the center on time.
