Noida, 27 January 2026:
A comprehensive review of all departmental works of the Noida Authority was conducted on Monday at the Chief Administrative Building, Sector-6, Noida. The meeting was chaired by Chief Executive Officer Krishna Karunesh. Senior officials present included Additional Chief Executive Officers Vandana Tripathi and Satish Pal, General Managers of Civil, Horticulture, Public Health, Water and Mechanical departments, Deputy General Managers of Civil, and representatives from Work Circle, Water, Electricity, Mechanical, Horticulture, and Public Health departments.
During the review, the CEO closely evaluated the progress of various departments and issued several important directives. He emphasized that negligence in any work would not be tolerated, and all instructions must be complied with in a time-bound manner.
The CEO highlighted that a recent survey identified approximately 65 vulnerable points across Noida, including both major and minor areas. For points falling under the Authority’s jurisdiction, corrective measures are to be completed within one week. For points under other departments, notices have been issued, directing concerned authorities to ensure resolution on a priority basis by 20 February 2026.
Expressing concern over road conditions, the CEO instructed that roads where blacktop work has not been done in the last four to five years and which have deteriorated, must undergo necessary measurement and planning, with work commencing from the first week of March.
In rural areas, the issue of dung entering drains was flagged as critical. All formalities are to be completed, and Expressions of Interest (EOI) invited within 10 days. Strict attention was also directed towards the maintenance of community toilets. For toilets without any agency maintenance, the CEO instructed that tenders be floated under the BOT model within a week to ensure full operation of all units.
The Civil Department was tasked with addressing blocked left-turn points, coordinating with relevant departments to initiate the tender process within one month to resolve the issue. Due to the shortage of sanitary inspectors in the Public Health Department, directives were issued to appoint 20 inspectors through the GeM portal. The CEO further warned that any laxity in sanitation work would result in strict action against the responsible officials or staff.
NGOs involved in cleaning operations were instructed to ensure 100% utilization of their 38-member workforce. In case of negligence, the agency will be replaced.
Continuous action against illegal street vendors and encroachments was emphasized. The CEO directed that vending zones be organized properly, ensuring licensed vendors operate only in designated areas. The Electricity and Mechanical Department was instructed to deploy one JCB and one dumper in each Work Circle to enforce effective control over encroachments.
For redevelopment under the Sector-27 policy, the Planning Department was instructed to invite EOIs. The Water Department was directed to construct sewer channels in 12 villages to address overflow issues caused by increasing rural populations. Officials reported that work is underway in Chhalera, Sadar Pur, and Garhi Shahdra, while Bahlolpur, Nagli Wazidpur, Chijarsi, Sarfabad, Gijhod, Yakubpur, Hoshiarpur, and Barola will receive the required attention. Additionally, underground reservoirs are to be constructed in Gijhod, Sarfabad, and Mamura to strengthen water management.
The CEO’s directives reflect a focused approach towards improving infrastructure, sanitation, public health, and enforcement in Noida, aiming to ensure efficiency, safety, and accountability across all departments.
