On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a special event was organized at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium in Gautam Buddh Nagar district. The program was chaired by Chief Development Officer Dr. Shivakant Dwivedi. The event witnessed the presence of government officials, employees, Anganwadi workers, and several women actively contributing in different sectors.
During the program, a live telecast of the state-level International Women’s Day event held in Lucknow under the leadership of the Chief Minister was also shown at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium. Officials, employees, and women present at the venue watched the broadcast and listened to discussions on women empowerment and social progress.

On this occasion, women who have performed exceptionally in various government departments were honored for their contributions. Women who have made notable contributions to society were also felicitated with certificates of appreciation.
Anganwadi workers were specially recognized and honored for their dedication and valuable services in the areas of child development, nutrition, and maternal welfare. Their efforts in implementing welfare schemes at the grassroots level were appreciated during the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Development Officer Dr. Shivakant Dwivedi highlighted the significant role of women in the development of society. He said that women today are demonstrating their talent and capabilities in almost every field, including education, healthcare, administration, science, sports, and social service.
He emphasized that the overall development of society cannot be achieved without empowering women. He also mentioned that the government is implementing several welfare schemes aimed at empowering women and supporting their growth in different sectors.

These initiatives focus on providing women with better access to education, employment opportunities, healthcare services, and social security. He encouraged women to recognize their strengths and actively participate in bringing positive changes in society.
Dr. Dwivedi also acknowledged the crucial role played by Anganwadi workers in improving child health and nutrition. He stated that their work is essential for strengthening community health and welfare programs.
Women present at the event were extended greetings on International Women’s Day and encouraged to continue contributing to society through their dedication and achievements. Discussions during the program also focused on the importance of women empowerment, education, and social development.
The event was attended by In-charge District Program Officer Ashish Kumar, officials from the probation department, and officers and employees from various departments. A large number of Anganwadi workers and other dignitaries were also present.
