Greater Noida | March 17, 2026 — A major cleanliness initiative, ‘Safai Mitra Sarthak Pahal’, was launched in Sector Alpha-II, Greater Noida as part of efforts to make the city cleaner and more sustainable.
The campaign is being conducted jointly by the Greater Noida Authority, Anubhuti Foundation, and Feedback Foundation. The initiative was inaugurated by Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra.

Awareness Campaign and Plogging Drive
As part of the launch, an awareness camp was organised to educate residents about cleanliness and waste management.
A plogging drive was also conducted, where participants actively collected waste, segregated it, and sent it to processing plants.
The drive lasted nearly three hours, during which around 500 kilograms of waste was collected and processed.
Focus on Waste Segregation and Citizen Participation
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Chandra emphasized that waste management begins at home.
He urged citizens to take responsibility for segregating wet and dry waste and ensuring its scientific disposal.
He stated that the initiative aims to:
Promote cleanliness through community participation
Encourage household-level waste segregation

Recognise and सम्मान (honour) the contribution of sanitation workers
Key Initiatives Under the Campaign
Under this initiative, the following measures will be implemented:
Health check-up camps for sanitation workers (supported by itel CSR initiative)
Installation of bottle collectors at various locations
Awareness campaigns through e-rickshaws
Expansion of capacity of Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs)
Collective Responsibility for Cleanliness
Officials highlighted that maintaining cleanliness is not the responsibility of a single group but a collective duty of all citizens.
Assistant Manager Health Gaurav Baghel reiterated that every resident must contribute actively to keeping the city clean.
CSR Support and Participation
The campaign is supported under CSR activities of itel India. CEO Arijeet Talapatra stated that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment toward social responsibility and building a cleaner India.
Several officials and representatives participated in the programme, including Senior Manager Health Rajesh Gautam, Manager Health Vivek Kishore, RWA members, and representatives from partner organisations.
