Bharat Vikas Parishad, Noida, is set to organise a grand Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, envisioned not only as a sacred spiritual discourse but also as a medium to reinforce social responsibility, cultural values and community service, bringing together devotees, scholars and citizens in a collective celebration of faith, tradition and societal welfare.
The week-long religious congregation will feature the revered narration of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha by renowned spiritual orator Acharya Mridul Krishna Goswami, whose discourses are widely known for their depth, devotional intensity and relevance to contemporary life. The event is scheduled to commence on December 17, 2025, and will continue till December 23, 2025, with daily sessions from 3 pm to 7 pm, offering devotees an immersive spiritual experience rooted in India’s ancient scriptures.
Ahead of the main Katha, a grand Kalash Yatra will be organised on December 16, 2025, marking the ceremonial beginning of the programme. The yatra is expected to witness the participation of nearly 800 women, who will carry sacred kalash vessels and proceed through Sector 19, symbolising collective devotion, purity and spiritual unity. The procession will pass through various lanes of the sector, transforming the locality into a vibrant spiritual landscape and setting the tone for the days of devotional discourse that follow.
Spiritual Celebrations, Cultural Traditions and Devotional Grandeur
During the course of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, several significant episodes and festivals associated with the life of Lord Krishna will be observed with traditional fervour and elaborate arrangements. Key celebrations will include Ram Janmotsav, Phool Bangla, Govardhan Puja, Rukmini Vivah and Holi, each presented with devotional splendour, rituals and symbolic representations that reflect the richness of India’s spiritual heritage.
To enhance the devotional atmosphere, beautiful tableaus and visual depictions will be presented, allowing devotees to experience the narratives not merely as stories but as living traditions. Daily arrangements for prasad and bhandara will be made for attendees, ensuring that the spirit of seva and hospitality remains central to the event. Organisers have emphasised that these offerings will be available every day throughout the Katha, reinforcing the inclusive and service-oriented ethos of the programme.
Special attention has been given to the comfort and convenience of devotees attending the Katha. Adequate seating arrangements have been made, with chairs and sofas reserved for senior citizens, while sufficient and well-organised space has been allocated for other participants. All necessary administrative permissions from government and local authorities have been secured, and comprehensive logistical planning has been completed well in advance.
Security has also been prioritised, with CCTV cameras installed across the venue and trained security personnel, including both men and women, deployed to ensure safety. Volunteers and organisers will work in coordination throughout the event to manage crowd movement and provide assistance to devotees, ensuring a peaceful and orderly environment conducive to spiritual reflection.
Adding to the devotional programme, a special Bhajan Sandhya will be organised on the evening of December 25, 2025, dedicated to Khatu Shyam. The musical evening will feature performances by well-known devotional singers Mukesh Bangda, Bantu Bhaiya and Anjali Dwivedi, who will render bhajans invoking deep emotional and spiritual resonance among devotees.
