Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), organised its flagship National Conclave on “AI Evolution – The Maha Kumbh of AI” at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi. The event brought together policymakers, regulators, academic visionaries, and industry experts to deliberate on the transformative potential and responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in India’s education and governance sectors.
The conclave was graced by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised that India must be prepared to embrace modern scientific and technological developments, noting that AI is redefining societal growth and progress. Calling AI a landmark revolution, he stressed that academic curricula must continuously evolve to meet contemporary demands. He highlighted the constructive use of technology, the importance of self-reliance in AI as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the establishment of three Centres of Excellence in AI for healthcare, agriculture, and smart cities. He also underscored the critical need for responsible AI adoption to ensure ethical and sustainable outcomes.
Education Minister Ashish Sood addressed the gathering, stating that AI’s potential cannot be realised in isolation. He described education as a process of liberation and emphasised the responsible integration of AI into academic missions. Appreciating GGSIPU’s leadership, he highlighted the University’s initiatives in large language models (LLMs) and AI-enabled education tools. Sood also detailed Delhi Government initiatives, including Vidya Samiksha Kendra, AI-powered education dashboards, and AI interventions in schools that engage students in solving real-time civic challenges.
Padm Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU, outlined the University’s broader vision of using AI to make education adaptive, inquiry-led, and future-ready. He presented a comprehensive framework for AI adoption in education, grounded in sovereignty, responsibility, and the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. On the occasion, the University released two seminal works, *AImagineering* and *AI Shakti*, which lay down the philosophical and operational foundations for AI-enabled learning, aimed at both India and the global academic community.
Prof. Verma also highlighted GGSIPU’s partnership with Yotta to create an end-to-end AI-enabled education ecosystem. He explained that AI is being integrated as an academic companion across courses, helping students transition from rote memorisation to mastery.
The conclave was further enriched by the presence of Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE. The event reaffirmed GGSIPU’s commitment to responsible innovation, national capacity building, and collaborative leadership, reinforcing its pivotal role in shaping an ethical, effective, and AI-driven educational future.
