The Gurjar Festival, organized by the Gurjar Art and Culture Trust at Surajkund in Faridabad, showcased the vibrant cultural legacy of the Gurjar community on Sunday. Senior BJP leader and former minister Nawab Singh Nagar attended the event as the chief guest and praised the trust for bringing the community’s rich heritage together on a single platform.
Addressing the gathering, Nagar highlighted the deep-rooted art, culture, traditions, and heroic history of the Gurjar community, stating that the festival successfully presented a living reflection of this legacy. He commended the wide range of cultural performances on display, including traditional folk dances, classical instrumental presentations, art exhibitions, handicrafts, and thematic cultural tableaux that offered a glimpse into the community’s glorious past.
Nagar also used the occasion to address the youth, urging them to remain connected to their ethical and social values. He encouraged young people to stay away from superficial lifestyles and instead prioritize education and technological knowledge to build a strong foundation for their future. He emphasized that cultural pride must go hand in hand with progressive learning.
