Greater Noida, February 2026
The Greater Noida Authority took strict action against illegal construction in the Bilaspur area, demolishing structures over approximately 18,770 square meters of land, valued at an estimated ₹37.5 crore. Officials said the action was carried out under the direction of the Authority, with joint teams from the land records and project departments.
Investigations revealed that on land plots numbered 100, 104, and 105, developers were attempting to construct houses and boundaries without approval or sanctioned plans. Two houses and other illegal structures were demolished during the operation.

The ACEO of the Authority issued a clear warning that strict legal action would be taken against anyone attempting construction in notified areas without proper approvals. Citizens were advised to consult the land records department before purchasing land in Greater Noida to avoid investments in illegal colonies.
The Project Manager stated that following complaints, inspections were carried out, and illegal constructions were demolished in the presence of security personnel. Officials added that any future attempts at unauthorized construction would face stringent legal action.
The Authority emphasized that the action was necessary due to rising encroachment cases in Bilaspur. All illegal constructions were removed, ensuring proper land use and promoting regulated development in the area.

Officials said that the Greater Noida Authority maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward encroachments and illegal plotting. Citizens and investors were instructed to verify all land transactions through official channels before making investments.
According to the Authority, such actions provide a permanent solution against illegal occupation and ensure regulatory control over urban development. Continuous monitoring is in place to prevent unauthorized construction in the future.
This measure is considered significant for protecting investor interests and ensuring proper land use. The Authority reiterated that any future attempt at illegal construction will be met with strict legal consequences.
The actions of the Greater Noida Authority send a clear message to the public to avoid investing in illegal colonies and ensure that investments are made only in approved projects.
