Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 25, 2026:
The district administration has intensified preparations for a special mega camp to be organised on the occasion of Labour Day (May 1), aimed at extending welfare benefits and services to workers across Gautam Buddh Nagar. A review meeting was chaired by the District Magistrate at the Collectorate auditorium with sector, zonal, and static magistrates, along with officials from concerned departments, to ensure smooth and efficient execution of the programme.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate emphasized the need for strong coordination among departments and directed officials to strengthen arrangements in labour-dominated areas. He instructed that all logistical and administrative preparations must be completed within the stipulated timeline to avoid any inconvenience during the Program.

The District Magistrate further directed officials to conduct field inspections of the designated locations for the mega camp to ensure that all facilities are in place. He stressed that the objective of the programme is to ensure that every worker receives the benefits of government schemes and services without any बाधा. Any form of negligence, he warned, would not be tolerated.
A detailed review of medical arrangements was also carried out during the meeting. The District Magistrate informed that multiple health camps are being organised across labour-intensive areas of the district so that workers can access healthcare services near their residences and workplaces. This approach is aimed at making healthcare more accessible and reducing the need for workers to take leave from their jobs.
Officials from the health department were directed to ensure adequate availability of doctors, medicines, diagnostic facilities, and other medical resources at all camps. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining quality healthcare services and ensuring that workers receive timely medical attention. The District Magistrate also instructed that camps should be scheduled in a way that allows workers to avail services either before or after their working hours.

The administration has also been focusing on awareness and participation. The District Magistrate directed all concerned officials to actively spread information about the camps among workers and encourage maximum participation. He emphasized that achieving full coverage of eligible beneficiaries is essential to ensure that government welfare schemes reach those who need them the most.
Highlighting the broader objective of the initiative, the District Magistrate stated that the mega camp should not be treated as a routine or formal event, but as a significant effort to strengthen worker welfare. He urged officials to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, sensitivity, and accountability to ensure the programme’s success.

The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Shivakant Dwivedi, Chief Medical Officer Narendra Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Atul Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Manglesh Dubey, Additional Labour Commissioner Rakesh Dwivedi, and all sector, zonal, and static magistrates.
The upcoming mega camp is expected to provide a wide range of services to workers, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to inclusive development and ensuring that welfare initiatives reach every eligible beneficiary in the district.
