Noida, 16 February 2026
A major protest was held today in Mamura, Sector 63, Noida, led by Gautam Buddha Nagar Auto Union and Bharatiya Kisan Union Lok Shakti, over the excessive billing of ₹30,000 on CNG autos. The protest was chaired by Umesh Pal, while Chowdhary Omprakash Gurjar conducted the proceedings.
Chowdhary Omprakash Gurjar, president of Gautam Buddha Nagar Auto Union and leader of the Kisan Union, stated that the agency was previously managed by Suman Bajaj, who never charged more than the billing amount. However, Shiva Bajaj took over the agency on 1 February and immediately started misleading the residents of Noida. He allegedly told people to buy autos from Ghaziabad, where the vehicles would cost ₹30,000 more.
Gurjar further stated that although the code and trade facilities have not yet arrived in Noida, the agency could have easily provided convenience to residents. He warned that citizens would not be forced to buy expensive vehicles and such unfair practices would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Bharatiya Kisan Union National General Secretary Chowdhary BC Pradhan said that no dealer in Gautam Buddha Nagar will be allowed to exploit people. Shiva Bajaj or any other dealer must follow the rules, and any attempt at malpractice will lead to protests and cancellation of the dealership.
ACP Umesh Kumar and SHO Puneet Singh were present at the protest. They promptly coordinated with the agency owner and GM, scheduling a meeting for 18 February, after which the protest was temporarily suspended.
Key leaders and members present at the protest included Thakur Sudhir, Mahesh Tanwar, Harendra Baisoya, Dhananjay Shah, Arun Dada, Narendra Pal, Pal Baghel, Atul Tiwari, Mitthu Dada, Sanjay Dada, Sandeep, Lal Pal, Bhura Pal, Manoj Yadav, Chhotan, Pawan Pandit, Pappu Fauji, Governor, Vishal, Sahil, Manjeet, Chanchal, VP Singh, Manu Sharma, Hariavana, Babli, Neeraj, Govind, Arun Gautam, Deepak, Vikas, among others.
The protest sent a strong message that residents and the auto union would take strict action against any unfair overcharging. The union and farmers’ organization emphasized they would continue monitoring the situation and intensify the protest if required.
