March 2026, Noida.
Office bearers of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations held a meeting with Krishna Karunesh, Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority, to discuss various civic issues affecting residential sectors in the city.
During the meeting, FONRWA President Yogendra Sharma highlighted concerns regarding sanitation management in several sectors. He stated that cleanliness and waste collection services are not functioning satisfactorily in many areas, causing inconvenience to residents.
He explained that one of the major reasons for the problem is the lack of effective monitoring of sanitation activities at the authority’s circle level. According to him, regular supervision and stronger monitoring mechanisms are necessary to improve the overall sanitation system in the city.
Responding to the concerns, CEO Krishna Karunesh assured the delegation that necessary instructions would be issued to the concerned officials. He emphasized that maintaining proper sanitation standards in the city remains a priority for the authority and that negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
FONRWA General Secretary K K Jain also raised the issue of several development works pending in different residential sectors. He informed that a detailed list of such works related to various Resident Welfare Associations had already been submitted to the Noida Authority earlier.
The pending works include road repairs, park development, installation and maintenance of streetlights, and other essential civic infrastructure projects. Despite submitting the list earlier, the work on many of these projects has not yet started.
He requested the authority to prioritize these pending projects so that residents of different sectors can benefit from improved infrastructure and civic facilities.
In response, CEO Krishna Karunesh informed that the pending development works received from RWAs are currently in the tender process. He assured the delegation that once the tender procedures are completed, work will begin soon.
He also announced that a detailed meeting will soon be organized between FONRWA representatives, RWAs, and senior officials of the authority to discuss civic issues and development plans in greater detail.
The CEO noted that better coordination between the authority and RWAs is essential for effective urban management and development. Regular dialogue and cooperation between residents and the administration will help in addressing civic challenges more efficiently.
The meeting was attended by FONRWA President Yogendra Sharma, General Secretary K K Jain, Ashok Mishra, R K Singh, and Laxmi Narayan. The representatives emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between residents and the authority to improve civic infrastructure and services in Noida.
