March 2026, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

District Social Welfare Officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar Satish Kumar informed that the state government has revised the Mukhyamantri Mass Marriage Scheme by increasing the income eligibility limit and the financial assistance provided under the scheme.

Following the new guidelines issued by the government, a mass marriage ceremony will be organized in Gautam Buddh Nagar district on March 20, 2026. The program aims to support economically weaker families in conducting the marriages of their daughters with dignity.

According to the revised government order, a total expenditure of ₹100000 per couple has been provisioned under the scheme. Out of this amount, ₹60000 will be directly transferred to the bride’s bank account.

In addition, wedding gift items worth ₹25000 will be provided to the couple. An amount of ₹15000 per couple will also be spent on organizing the marriage ceremony.

The District Social Welfare Officer explained that certain eligibility conditions have been defined for applicants under the scheme. The parents or guardians of the bride must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. The bride or her family should belong to economically weaker, needy, or destitute categories.

The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed ₹300000. At the time of marriage registration under the scheme, the bride must be at least 18 years of age and the groom must have completed 21 years of age.

For age verification, valid documents include school academic records, birth certificates, voter identity cards, MGNREGA job cards, and Aadhaar cards.

The scheme is applicable not only for unmarried women but also for widows, deserted women, or legally divorced women whose remarriage is being arranged.

Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes must submit valid caste certificates. It is also mandatory for the bride to have an active bank account for receiving financial assistance.

Priority will be given to destitute girls, daughters of widowed women, daughters of disabled parents, and girls with disabilities under the scheme.

Interested applicants can submit their applications online through the official portal https://cmsvy.upsdc.gov.in
. Applications can be submitted through public service centers, cyber cafes, private internet centers, or by applying online independently.

For further information, applicants may contact the concerned Block Development Officer office, urban local body office, or the District Social Welfare Officer’s office.
