Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 10, 2026
The District Agriculture Protection Officer Vivek Dubey has issued strict instructions to all pesticide dealers in the district, making it mandatory to register on the Integrated Pesticides Management System (IPMS) portal for carrying out the purchase and sale of pesticides. Despite repeated notices and sufficient time being provided, a large number of dealers have yet to complete their registration on the portal, prompting the administration to issue a final directive.
Officials stated that registration on the IPMS portal is a priority initiative of the government and is being closely monitored at higher administrative levels. The move aims to streamline pesticide distribution, ensure transparency in transactions, and regulate the supply chain effectively. Dealers have been instructed to immediately complete their registration and inform the concerned department without further delay.
Final Opportunity for Dealers to Comply
The administration has provided one last opportunity to pesticide dealers to fulfill the registration requirement. Those facing any difficulty in completing the process have been asked to visit the office on April 13, 2026, where a special training session will be आयोजित to assist them in completing the registration process.
During this training, officials will guide dealers through the portal registration steps and ensure that all technical or procedural issues are resolved on the spot. The initiative is aimed at ensuring 100 percent compliance and eliminating any barriers that may have prevented dealers from registering earlier.
Mandatory Stock Entry and Digital Tracking
In addition to registration, all pesticide dealers have been directed to upload detailed information about their existing stock on the IPMS portal. This includes chemical-wise and company-wise data, which will help authorities maintain accurate records of pesticide availability and usage in the district.
The digital tracking system is expected to improve monitoring and prevent unauthorized sale or misuse of pesticides. It will also ensure that all transactions are recorded systematically, enhancing accountability across the supply chain.
Strict Rules for Future Purchases
The administration has clarified that in the future, all pesticide purchases or orders must be made only through authorized manufacturers and must receive prior approval on the IPMS portal. Dealers will be allowed to procure stock only after obtaining departmental clearance through the system.
This step has been introduced to ensure that only verified and approved products enter the market, thereby safeguarding farmers and maintaining quality standards in agricultural inputs.
Warning of Strict Legal Action
A strong warning has been issued to all dealers that any purchase or sale of pesticides without registration on the IPMS portal will be considered a violation of the Insecticides Act, 1968. In such cases, strict action will be taken, including suspension or cancellation of the dealer’s license.
Furthermore, action will also be taken against the concerned pesticide manufacturing companies found involved in unauthorized transactions. The administration has made it clear that the responsibility for any violation will lie entirely with the dealer and the associated company.
The directive underscores the government’s commitment to regulating pesticide trade and ensuring compliance with legal provisions. Dealers have been urged to act promptly and complete all required formalities to avoid punitive action.
