According to the Department of Art, Culture, Language and Tourism, Delhi, the tradition of ‘Bhajan Clubbing’ is rapidly gaining popularity among the youth. The initiative aims to connect the new generation with their cultural roots, spiritual consciousness, and India’s rich heritage.
As part of ‘Vasantotsav 2026’, a series of Bhajan Clubbing events will be organized across Delhi University colleges from February 10 to February 19. The series will showcase a unique blend of devotional and contemporary music performed by young artists. The event will commence on February 10 at Ramjas College with a performance by ‘Leela Band’. On February 11, ‘Raghav Raja’ will present a musical performance at D.D. Upadhyaya College.
On February 12, ‘India Music Collective’ will offer a unique blend of bhajans and meditation at ARSD College, while ‘Sadho Band’ will perform at Shaheed Sukhdev College. On February 13, ‘Rahasy Band’ will perform at Shyamlal College, and ‘Keshavam’ will present devotional songs at PGDAV College.
On February 16, the University Stadium will host a grand performance by ‘Keshavam’, taking this cultural initiative to a new height. The series will conclude on February 19 at Shivaji College with a performance by SAM Band.
The Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism stated that ‘Bhajan Clubbing’ is a powerful medium to connect youth with their cultural and spiritual roots. Through this initiative, devotion, music, and modernity will converge, bringing ancient values to life for the younger generation in an engaging manner.
The initiative aims not only to promote culture and devotion but also to encourage awareness, creativity, and community engagement among youth. Participating colleges and bands have played a crucial role in making this program a success.
