Noida, December 28, 2025:
The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector-49, Noida, today organised a grand ‘Police Felicitation Ceremony’ at the Sector-49 Community Hall, recognising the relentless, dedicated, and exemplary contributions of the Noida Police in maintaining public safety, peace, and law and order. The event aimed to strengthen trust, cooperation, and mutual respect between citizens and law enforcement agencies.

During the ceremony, police officers and personnel who demonstrated exceptional service were honoured with certificates and ceremonial shawls. Special recognition was given to officers who, within a short period, solved major theft cases and recovered valuable property by apprehending skilled criminals.
The event was chaired by RWA Sector-49 President Prashant Tyagi and conducted by General Secretary Vijay Bhati. Coordinators Vikas Kapoor and Shashi Shah oversaw arrangements, while RWA Security In-Charge Umesh Kumar welcomed the guests. The programme’s chief guest was Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rakesh Pratap Singh, and the distinguished guest was Shalini Singh, Patron of Noida Citizen Forum, whose presence added special gravitas to the occasion.

Speaking at the event, the dignitaries emphasised that the police are not just enforcers of the law but the backbone of society, working tirelessly in all conditions to ensure citizen safety. Whether during festivals, emergencies, or routine duties, the commitment and selfless service of police officers remain constant and are often beyond words.

ACP Rakesh Pratap Singh addressed the gathering, highlighting that cooperation between citizens and police forms the foundation of peace and security in any area. He appreciated the RWA Sector-49 initiative, stating that such programmes boost police morale and encourage active community engagement.
Shalini Singh, Patron of the Noida Citizen Forum, praised the dedication and service spirit of police officers, noting that their commitment serves as an inspiration for the community. She stressed that citizens from all walks of life should respect and support the police in maintaining law and order.

RWA President Prashant Tyagi said that the ceremony symbolised the community’s gratitude and respect for the police force. He emphasised that when citizens and law enforcement work hand-in-hand, any locality can be made safe, orderly, and exemplary.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector-49, Sunil Kumar Bhardwaj, addressed the audience, expressing that recognition and respect from the community bring pride and satisfaction to police personnel. He added that RWA Sector-49’s initiative personally touched him and reinforced the importance of citizen-police collaboration in maintaining area security. Following his speech, Bhardwaj presented an emotional song that moved the audience, who responded with enthusiastic applause.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to the police force and a renewed pledge to strengthen social harmony, safety, and community cooperation. The event not only honoured police personnel but also exemplified a positive dialogue and partnership between law enforcement and society.
The programme was attended by RWA office-bearers including Parmatma Sharan Bansal, Pankaj Deshwal, Aruna Quatra, S.P. Singh, Anand Johri, Dr. Rajeev Chhibber, Umesh Kumar, along with a large number of residents, highlighting widespread community support for the police.
