The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) carried out a major enforcement drive against illegal plotting and unauthorised constructions in its notified area, freeing land worth hundreds of crores. Acting on the directions of Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh, the demolition operation was conducted on Monday, February 2, 2026.

During the action, the enforcement team demolished illegal plotting and unauthorised colony development being carried out under the name “Aero Green City” in village Dayanatpur. The operation covered Khasra number 463, measuring 4.6660 hectares, and Gata number 447, measuring 3.0090 hectares, totalling 7.6750 hectares or 76,750 square metres of land. In addition, illegal constructions raised along the 60-metre-wide road leading to the airport were also removed.
Similarly, demolition action was taken against unauthorised constructions spread over approximately 24,000 square metres in village Sabauta Mustafabad. Through this combined operation, YEIDA freed a total of around 1,00,750 square metres of land from illegal occupation within its notified area. The estimated market value of the reclaimed land is approximately ₹400 crore.

The demolition drive was conducted in the presence of Additional Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Kumar, Special Officer Shailendra Singh, Authority Sub-Divisional Magistrates Hari Pratap and Shivautar Singh, Tehsildar Manoj Kumar Singh, and Jewar Police Station In-charge Sanjay Singh. Adequate administrative and police arrangements were made on-site to ensure the smooth execution of the operation and to prevent any law-and-order issues.
Addressing the matter, Special Officer Shailendra Singh issued a stern warning to illegal builders and colonisers, stating that any unauthorised plotting, colony development or construction on YEIDA land or within the notified area would attract strict legal action. He clarified that FIRs would be lodged against violators and all illegal constructions would be demolished without any leniency.

Officials of the authority stated that the action was taken in the larger interest of ensuring planned and regulated development in the Yamuna Expressway region. Illegal colonies and unauthorised constructions not only violate the master plan but also create long-term challenges related to infrastructure, traffic management and public amenities. In particular, illegal structures along the 60-metre-wide airport road were posing serious safety and traffic concerns.
YEIDA further appealed to the general public and prospective investors to verify the legal status and approval of land before making any purchase. Investing in unauthorised colonies may lead to legal complications and financial losses in the future.
The authority reiterated that such enforcement drives will continue in the coming days as part of its zero-tolerance policy against illegal constructions and encroachments. YEIDA emphasised that safeguarding public land and ensuring orderly urban and industrial development remains a top priority.
