Gautam Buddh Nagar, February 23, 2026:
The budget meeting of the Gautam Buddh Nagar Zila Panchayat was held at the district panchayat auditorium under the chairmanship of Amit Chaudhary. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Additional Chief Officer Priyanka Chaturvedi.
During the session, members held detailed discussions on issues of public importance and matters related to public welfare. For the financial year 2026–2027, development works worth approximately ₹9.00 crore were proposed. The revenue target for the upcoming fiscal year was set at approximately ₹15.00 crore. Additionally, the estimated allocation under the Fifth Finance Commission was projected at around ₹3.40 crore.

Several key resolutions were passed during the meeting. A proposal to impose restrictions on loud DJs operating at high volume in rural areas was unanimously approved. Members expressed concern over noise pollution and its impact on residents, particularly the elderly, students, and patients.
Another significant decision taken during the meeting was to prioritize the construction of crematorium facilities at rural cremation grounds. Members collectively agreed that proper and dignified infrastructure at cremation sites is essential for ensuring basic civic amenities in villages.
The chair emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among elected representatives and administrative officials to ensure holistic development of Gautam Buddh Nagar. Members were encouraged to actively monitor implementation of projects and maintain transparency in public expenditure.
The meeting concluded peacefully with a vote of thanks to all participants for their constructive suggestions and cooperation.
