Gautam Buddh Nagar, 06 February 2026
Member of the Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission, Ramakant Upadhyay, conducted an inspection of registered gaushalas in Gautam Buddh Nagar district on Thursday. He visited the Shri Ji Gaushala, a commission-registered facility located in Sector-94, Noida, where the arrangements were found to be of high standard. During the inspection, he reviewed cow-based product manufacturing, laboratory operations, and other activities, and appreciated the efforts of the gaushala management.
Subsequently, the Commission member carried out a surprise inspection of the gaushala operated by the Greater Noida Authority at village Jalpura in Greater Noida. Keeping the winter season in view, he directed officials to ensure proper care of the cattle without any negligence. Instructions were issued to provide nutritious feed to all cattle, ensure adequate protection from cold, and immediately address the shortcomings observed during the inspection.
He stated that cow welfare and cattle conservation are among the top priorities of the Uttar Pradesh Government, and negligence at any level will not be tolerated. He further directed that steps be taken to make gaushalas self-reliant by initiating the production of cow dung-based products such as paint, incense sticks, lamps, and other utility items.

He emphasized that such initiatives would not only enhance the income of gaushalas but also generate local employment opportunities. Officials were instructed to involve self-help groups, women, and youth through training programs to strengthen community participation and ensure the financial sustainability of gaushalas.
The inspection was attended by Chief Veterinary Officer Arun Kumar along with officials from the concerned departments.
