Greater Noida: A delegation from the Urban Development and Housing Department, Government of Bihar, visited the Greater Noida Authority on Friday. The delegation informed that the Government of Bihar is planning to develop industrial townships and, in this context, the visit was undertaken to study the planning framework, policies and infrastructure development model of Greater Noida Authority.
As per the directions of the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Authority, N.G. Ravi Kumar, a detailed meeting was held between the delegation and senior officials of the Authority. During the meeting, comprehensive information was shared on procedures related to land acquisition, allotment processes, policy framework and administrative mechanisms.
Senior officials including Additional Chief Executive Officers Sunil Kumar Singh, Prerna Singh and Sumit Yadav, General Manager (Finance) Swatantra Gupta, Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra, OSD Naveen Kumar Singh, Manager (Industry) Arvind Mohan and other officials were present. The delegation gathered detailed information on infrastructure development, urban planning, building plan approval procedures and industrial allotment systems of Greater Noida Authority and IITGNL.
The Land Records Department briefed the delegation on land acquisition provisions, applicable legal clauses and benefits extended to farmers. The Planning Department presented details related to the master plan, sector layouts, building bylaws and settlement regulations. The Project Department shared information regarding infrastructure development including roads, drainage, power supply, sewerage and other basic amenities.
The Finance Department presented the Authority’s financial model, explaining the self-sustaining mechanism and revenue generation process. The Industry Department provided insights into industrial policies, schemes and allotment procedures implemented in Greater Noida.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the IITGNL Integrated Industrial Township. During the visit, information was shared on the plug-and-play industrial system, waste processing plant and round-the-clock availability of power and water.
The delegation appreciated the planned infrastructure and integrated development model of Greater Noida Authority and IITGNL, and stated that the insights gained during the visit would be highly useful for policy formulation and infrastructure development related to industrial townships in Bihar.
The Bihar government delegation included Special Secretary (Urban Development and Housing) Rajeev Srivastava, Additional Secretary Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary Vijay Prakash Meena, Municipal Commissioner Gaya Abhishek Palasia, Assistant Urban Planner (Supervisor) Anupam Sunil, Assistant Architect Sumit Ranjan and Urban Planner Vaibhav Bhatnagar.
