Agra-Lucknow Expressway, December 31, 2025:
In the aftermath of the tragic road accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway that claimed the lives of four individuals, including prominent Ghaziabad-based entrepreneur Ashok Agarwal and his nephew Abhinav Agarwal, Uttar Pradesh Minister for Industrial Development Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi visited the family home on Tuesday to offer his condolences. During the visit, the minister met with family members, expressed grief, and prayed for peace for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved family to endure their immense loss.

Minister Nandi described Ashok Agarwal as a dedicated and hardworking entrepreneur who had established a significant business in black salt through perseverance and skill. He highlighted Agarwal’s contribution to the business community, noting that his professional integrity, expertise, and determination had earned him respect among fellow entrepreneurs. Minister Nandi said, “The untimely death of Ashok Agarwal is an irreparable loss to the business fraternity and entrepreneurial community.”

The accident occurred on December 16, 2025, while Ashok Agarwal and his nephew, along with two other young men, were travelling from Ghaziabad to Lucknow. Their vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner, met with a severe crash near Unnao on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway amid dense fog conditions. All four occupants of the vehicle tragically lost their lives in the collision.

During his visit, Minister Nandi emphasized the need for public awareness regarding road safety, particularly during adverse weather conditions, and expressed support for the victims’ families. He also conveyed the government’s condolences and assured the family that their loss is shared by the administration and the wider business community.

Ashok Agarwal was known not only for his entrepreneurial success but also for his contributions to the local trade and industry sectors. His untimely passing has left a deep void among colleagues, employees, and fellow business leaders who respected his diligence and integrity.

The minister’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting bereaved families in times of tragedy and recognizing the contributions of individuals who have played a pivotal role in regional industry and commerce.

This solemn gesture by Minister Nandi reflects both personal empathy and official acknowledgement of the loss suffered by the family, while highlighting the importance of road safety awareness on high-speed expressways prone to adverse weather conditions.
