Noida:
On the directions of the District Magistrate, Noida, a Vyapar Bandhu (Trade Facilitation) Meeting was held today at Vikas Bhawan, Surajpur. The meeting was chaired by Chief Development Officer (CDO) Shivakant Dwivedi. Deputy Commissioner of Industries Anil Singh and Deputy Commissioner (State Tax) Ajit Kumar were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Vikas Jain, State President of Uttar Pradesh Yuva Vyapar Mandal, presented various pressing issues being faced by traders and business owners across Noida before the administration.

Key Issues Raised During the Meeting
1. Demand for Arms Licenses for Traders
Vikas Jain emphasised the need to provide arms licenses to traders for their personal safety, especially to large business owners who frequently deal with cash and operate in late hours.
He requested that eligible traders be granted licenses at the earliest in view of rising security concerns.
2. Poor Road Condition under Elevated Road (Sector-49)
A memorandum was submitted to Noida Authority Officer Rohit Singh regarding the deteriorated road condition under the elevated road in Sector-49.
It was highlighted that daily accidents involving two-wheelers are occurring, creating a serious threat to public safety.
3. Prior Notice Before Sealing or Attachment by the Tax Department
Jain stated that before taking any attachment or recovery action, the Commercial Tax Department must issue a prior notice to traders.
Any action taken without prior intimation was strongly opposed by the traders.
4. Parking Issues and Challans in Market Areas
Traders raised objections against challans being issued for roadside parking when no proper parking facilities are available.
It was demanded that parking spaces be developed first, and only then enforcement actions be taken.
5. Jammer Issue at Sector-64 Examination Center
A trader from Sector-64 (Nomura area) informed that 24-hour operation of jammers inside the examination center is severely affecting businesses.
* Due to jammers, e-way bills, online payments, and invoice systems stop working.
* Continuous traffic congestion occurs in the area.
* Lack of public toilets forces students, especially girls, to face serious inconvenience.
6. Problems Faced by PG Operators
PG Association President Ankur Bansal stated that PG owners are repeatedly harassed by authorities despite Supreme Court directions stating that PGs are not commercial establishments.
He urged the administration to follow court guidelines and stop unnecessary action against PG operators.
Assurance from Administration
Responding to all the issues, CDO Shivakant Dwivedi assured that:
All matters will be examined seriously
Necessary instructions will be issued to the concerned departments
Maximum issues will be resolved before the next meeting
