Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 25, 2026:
The District Magistrate chaired a key meeting with representatives of industrial and business organizations at the Collectorate office to review preparations for the upcoming mega camp scheduled on May 1, marking Labour Day. The meeting focused on ensuring the effective implementation of welfare initiatives for workers and maximizing their outreach and benefits.

During the meeting , officials discussed in detail various measures aimed at improving worker welfare, expanding facilities, and ensuring that eligible labourers receive the full benefits of government schemes. The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the administration and industrial stakeholders to make the upcoming programme successful.

It was informed that on the occasion of Labour Day, a large-scale mega health campaign will be conducted across the district. As part of this अभियान, a total of 201 medical camps will be set up, and free health check-ups, treatment, and other medical services will be provided to workers at all government hospitals as well as 22 private hospitals.

In addition to healthcare services, the administration will also organise special camps focusing on skill development, social security, and awareness about various welfare schemes. These camps will include dedicated stalls to provide information on life insurance, health insurance, and educational support for workers’ children, ensuring a holistic approach to labour welfare.

The District Magistrate also briefed participants about the ongoing medical camps being organised from April 24 to May 1 in labour-dominated areas across the district. The objective of these camps is to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to workers near their residences or workplaces, allowing them to undergo medical check-ups without taking time off from work.

Appealing to the industrial community, the District Magistrate urged entrepreneurs to actively spread awareness among workers employed in their establishments and encourage them to participate in the camps in large numbers. He stressed that such cooperation is essential to ensure that government welfare schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries.

The administration also assured that comprehensive information about various government schemes for entrepreneurs will be compiled and shared, enabling them to take full advantage of available support and strengthen their industrial operations. The District Magistrate reiterated that while the government remains committed to safeguarding workers’ interests, it is equally focused on promoting industrial growth in the region.

Suggestions from industry representatives were also invited during the meeting to improve the planning and execution of the Labour Day mega camp. Officials noted that these inputs would help in organizing a more effective and inclusive programme.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Atul Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Industries Pankaj Nirwan, Noida Entrepreneurs Association President Vipin Malhan, and other industrial representatives.

The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening worker welfare systems while fostering collaboration with industry stakeholders to ensure sustainable development.
