Greater Noida:In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, Greater Noida Police successfully apprehended a notorious criminal following a brief encounter during a special crime control operation. The accused, who is reportedly involved in more than 27 criminal cases, was injured in the leg during the exchange of fire and subsequently taken into custody.
According to police officials, the operation was part of an intensified surveillance and checking drive aimed at curbing rising criminal activities in the region. During routine patrol and checking, a suspicious individual was spotted and asked to stop for verification. Instead of complying, the suspect attempted to flee and opened fire at the police team.
In response, the police acted in self-defense, leading to the suspect sustaining a bullet injury in his leg. He was immediately overpowered and taken into custody. The injured accused was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where his condition is reported to be stable.
