Mathura | March 14, 2026 — Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industrial Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), conducted a site inspection of the proposed Raya Urban Centre and Heritage City project in Mathura district.
During the inspection, he reviewed the proposed 64-hectare industrial land-use site planned under the Raya Urban Centre project. He also inspected the site proposed for the Heritage City project as well as the site identified for the Vrindavan Bypass proposed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India.
Officials stated that the purpose of the inspection was to assess the progress of the projects and provide directions for accelerating development activities.
Project Review Meeting Held
Following the site visit, the Additional Chief Secretary chaired a review meeting at the regional office of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority in Vrindavan.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the project progress, land acquisition status, and upcoming development plans was conducted. Alok Kumar directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process so that implementation of the project can proceed at a faster pace.
He noted that the Raya Urban Centre and Heritage City project could play an important role in boosting regional development and tourism in the Mathura–Vrindavan area.
Presentation on Heritage City and Parking Plan
During the meeting, YEIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Kumar Bhatia delivered a detailed presentation on the proposed Heritage City project.
The presentation also included plans for a parking facility for Shri Banke Bihari Temple, as well as proposed residential and commercial projects being developed by the authority.
Officials also discussed various aspects of the project including urban planning, traffic management, and development of supporting infrastructure.
Senior Officials Participate in Meeting
Several senior officials of the authority attended the meeting. These included Additional Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Kumar, OSD Shailendra Kumar Singh, and General Manager (Projects) Rajendra Bhati.
Officers from the project, planning, and electricity departments also participated in the discussions and reviewed strategies to accelerate the implementation of development works.
The Additional Chief Secretary directed all concerned departments to work in coordination and ensure the timely execution of the proposed projects.
