The Greater Noida Authority demolished illegal constructions in the flood zones of Amka and Bisrakh, freeing nearly 15,000 square meters of encroached land.
Greater Noida | March 13, 2026 — The Greater Noida Authority conducted a demolition drive against illegal encroachments and constructions in the notified area, targeting the flood zones of Amka and Bisrakh. During the operation, nearly 15,000 square meters of land was cleared from encroachment.

Officials stated that the estimated value of the land freed from encroachment is around ₹30 crore.
The action was carried out on Friday following directions issued by Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar. The authority has been intensifying its enforcement actions against unauthorized constructions and illegal land occupation in notified areas.
According to officials, colonizers were attempting illegal plotting on flood zone land in Amka village. After receiving information about the activity, the authority’s enforcement team reached the site and demolished the unauthorized structures.
Demolition Drive Against Illegal Plotting in Amka
Greater Noida Authority General Manager AK Singh said colonizers were trying to occupy land under khasra numbers 295, 296, 297, 298, and 299 in Amka village through unauthorized construction.
A team from the project department led by Senior Manager Narottam Chaudhary, along with Manager Rohit Gupta and officials from Work Circle Two, carried out the demolition drive.
During the operation, approximately 15,000 square meters of land was cleared from encroachment. Officials said the land has an estimated value of around ₹30 crore. The demolition drive started at around 2 pm and continued for nearly two hours.

Three Houses Demolished in Bisrakh Flood Area
On the same day, another enforcement team conducted action in the flood zone of Bisrakh.
The team led by Work Circle Three in-charge Prabhat Shankar and Manager Prashant Samadhiya demolished three under-construction houses built in the restricted flood zone area.
Officials said construction in flood zones violates planning norms and safety regulations. The authority continues to monitor such developments and take strict action against unauthorized structures.
Security personnel from the Greater Noida Authority were present during the demolition drive to maintain order and ensure smooth execution of the operation.
Authority Warns Against Illegal Construction
Additional CEO Sumit Yadav stated that no individual is permitted to undertake illegal construction within the notified area of Greater Noida.
He urged residents to verify land records and obtain proper information from the authority before purchasing property and advised citizens to avoid investing in illegal colonies.
