Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women, visited Gautam Buddh Nagar as part of an official tour that included inspections of welfare facilities and interactions with beneficiaries. During the visit, she inspected the Anganwadi Centre in Dadha and later visited the women’s ward of the district jail to review the facilities provided to inmates.
Participation in Maternal and Child Welfare Programs
During her visit to the Anganwadi Centre in Dadha, Aparna Yadav took part in several welfare activities organized for women and children. These included the God Bharai (baby shower ceremony), Annaprashan ceremony, Kanya Janmotsav (celebration of the birth of a girl child), and distribution of welfare kits.
While interacting with the beneficiaries, she extended her blessings to women and children and shared information about various government schemes related to women and child development. The programs are aimed at improving maternal health, child nutrition, and overall well-being through community-based initiatives.
Officials present at the event also used the opportunity to create awareness about government programs that support women’s health, child care, and empowerment.
Awareness Message on Cyber Crime
Addressing the gathering, Aparna Yadav emphasized the importance of awareness about cybercrime, especially among women. She urged them to remain vigilant while using digital platforms and online services.
She explained that the increasing use of digital technology has also led to a rise in cyber fraud and online scams. Women were advised to exercise caution when sharing personal information online, making digital payments, or responding to suspicious calls and messages.
During the session, she also shared practical guidance on identifying cyber fraud attempts and steps that can be taken to protect oneself from online financial scams and digital security threats.
Participation of Local Officials and Women
The event at the Anganwadi Centre witnessed participation from local officials and community members. Among those present were Child Development Project Officer Sandhya Soni from Dankaur, Chief Supervisors Mamta, Poonam Rawat, and Lalita, along with Anganwadi assistants and workers.
A large number of local women attended the program and interacted with officials regarding welfare schemes and community initiatives. Information about health services, nutrition programs, and women empowerment initiatives was also shared during the event.
Review of Anganwadi Centre Operations
During the inspection, Aparna Yadav reviewed the facilities and ongoing activities at the Anganwadi Centre. She appreciated the work being carried out by officials and Anganwadi workers in implementing government welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
She instructed officials to continue ensuring effective implementation of these programs so that maximum benefits reach women and children in the district.
Visit to Gautam Buddh Nagar District Jail
Following the Anganwadi inspection, Aparna Yadav visited the Gautam Buddh Nagar District Jail where she inspected the women’s ward. During the visit, she interacted with women inmates to understand the facilities available to them and reviewed the status of their cases.
She assured inmates that she would correspond with the government regarding possible remission or reduction of sentences for prisoners who demonstrate good conduct.
Inspection of Skill Development Workshops
While at the district jail, Aparna Yadav also inspected skill development workshops being conducted for inmates. These workshops aim to equip prisoners with practical skills that can help them rebuild their lives after release.
Officials reported that the workshops were functioning in an organized manner. The Vice Chairperson appreciated the products and activities undertaken by inmates as part of these training programs and praised their efforts to develop new skills.
