Noida, 23 February 2026
The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) organised a ‘Gram Chaupal’ programme on 23 February 2026 as part of its ongoing initiative to address issues faced by residents of villages within the Authority’s jurisdiction. The programme was conducted with the objective of ensuring prompt resolution of local concerns and facilitating direct interaction between officials and villagers.
According to the Authority, ‘Gram Chaupal’ programmes are being organised regularly across different villages to identify and resolve civic and infrastructural issues in a time-bound manner. The initiative aims to strengthen administrative outreach, enhance transparency in grievance redressal, and promote participatory governance at the grassroots level.
As part of the programme held on 23 February 2026, Gram Chaupal sessions were organised in four villages falling under the Noida Authority area. During the session conducted in Village Kondli, officials listened to the grievances and demands raised by local residents. Villagers presented concerns relating to civic infrastructure and essential services, which were reviewed by the attending officers.
The Authority stated that the programme was conducted under the leadership of senior managers of the Work Circle. Officials representing key departments of the Noida Authority were present at the event, including the Water, Electrical/Mechanical, Horticulture, and Land Records departments. The presence of multi-departmental representatives ensured that a wide range of issues could be examined comprehensively.
During the interaction, villagers raised matters primarily related to civil works, water supply, sewer systems, and electricity services. Officials took note of the concerns and provided clarifications where necessary. The grievances were assessed on-site, enabling immediate evaluation of several issues.
Following the Chaupal session, the attending officials conducted field inspections within the village. The Authority noted that this step formed a crucial component of the programme, allowing officers to directly observe local conditions and verify the nature of complaints raised by residents.
The Noida Authority reported that a significant number of the grievances presented by villagers were resolved on the spot. For issues requiring further administrative or technical intervention, officials assured villagers that necessary action would be initiated on a priority basis.
The Authority emphasised that the Gram Chaupal initiative reflects its commitment to responsive governance and citizen-centric administration. By providing villagers with an opportunity to communicate directly with officials, the programme seeks to minimise procedural delays and improve service delivery mechanisms.
Officials stated that the initiative also aims to foster trust between the administration and local communities by ensuring that grievances are addressed transparently and efficiently. The Authority reiterated that such programmes would continue to be organised regularly across villages within its jurisdiction.
The Noida Authority further highlighted that Gram Chaupal programmes serve as an effective platform for understanding ground-level challenges and aligning developmental priorities with the needs of residents. The Authority maintained that strengthening civic amenities and improving infrastructure in rural pockets remain integral to its broader development strategy.
The programme conducted on 23 February 2026 forms part of the Authority’s sustained efforts to enhance administrative accessibility and ensure timely resolution of public grievances.
