Noida:
The Noida Metropolitan unit of the Samajwadi Party organized a tribute meeting on the death anniversary of prominent socialist thinker and former Union Minister Janeshwar Mishra at the party’s metropolitan camp office in Sector 53, Kanchanjunga Market. Party office-bearers and workers gathered to remember Mishra’s contribution to socialist ideology and public life, offering floral tributes and reaffirming their commitment to carry forward his ideals.

Janeshwar Mishra, widely known as “Chhote Lohia,” is remembered as a dedicated socialist leader who devoted his life to the cause of social justice, equality, and the welfare of the common people. During the programme, speakers recalled his simplicity, ideological clarity, and lifelong struggle in the service of the masses, describing him as one of the most influential voices of the socialist movement in India.

Addressing the gathering, Samajwadi Party Noida Metropolitan President Ashray Gupta said that Janeshwar Mishra’s life was rooted in the principles of socialist thought and people-centric politics. He stated that Mishra consistently fought for public interest and stood firmly with the marginalized sections of society. According to Gupta, Mishra’s integrity, simplicity, and unwavering dedication to the people earned him the title of “Chhote Lohia,” reflecting his ideological closeness to socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia.

Gupta added that Janeshwar Mishra’s political journey continues to inspire generations of Samajwadi Party workers and leaders. He said that in the present times, when politics often drifts away from core values, Mishra’s life serves as a reminder of ethical politics and principled struggle. He urged party workers to follow the path shown by Mishra by staying connected to grassroots issues and working selflessly for public welfare.

Senior party leaders Ramveer Yadav and Vikas Yadav also spoke on the occasion, highlighting that Janeshwar Mishra’s ideology remains relevant even today. They said that his thoughts continue to guide socialist workers in their political and social responsibilities. According to them, Mishra believed in inclusive development and consistently raised issues related to farmers, workers, and the underprivileged in Parliament and on the streets.

Jayakaran Chaudhary and Bablu Chauhan recalled Mishra’s role in strengthening the socialist movement and said that his contribution to Indian politics is unforgettable. They emphasized that Janeshwar Mishra stood as a strong voice against injustice and inequality and always upheld democratic values. They noted that his commitment to socialist principles never wavered, even during challenging political circumstances.

During the tribute meeting, party workers and leaders offered flowers to his portrait and observed a moment of reflection to honor his memory. Speakers reiterated that remembering leaders like Janeshwar Mishra is essential for keeping ideological politics alive and ensuring that the values of social justice and equality remain central to public discourse.

The programme witnessed the presence of a large number of Samajwadi Party leaders and workers, reflecting collective respect and admiration for the late leader. Among those present were Monu Khari, Bhishm Yadav, Mukesh Yadav, Titu Yadav, Gaurav Yadav, Lokesh Yadav, Uday Singh, Harpal Singh, Babli Sharma, Vipin Chauhan, Nakul Chauhan, Ram Saheli, Mohit Yadav, Billu Saifi, Rajpal Chauhan, Arvind Chauhan, Kripa Shankar Yadav, Manjeet Yadav, Rajpal Vikas Dubey, Noor, and several other party members.

Party representatives said that the tribute meeting was not only an occasion to remember Janeshwar Mishra but also an opportunity to renew commitment to socialist ideology and organizational discipline. They stressed that Mishra’s life and struggles should serve as a guiding force for current and future generations of party workers.

The Samajwadi Party Noida Metropolitan unit concluded the programme by resolving to continue working for the rights of the people, inspired by Janeshwar Mishra’s vision of a just, equal, and inclusive society. Leaders said that honoring his legacy means actively engaging with public issues and remaining steadfast in the fight for social justice and democratic values.
