Gautam Buddh Nagar, January 22, 2026:
Preparations for the three-day Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 celebrations, scheduled to be held from January 24 to 26 at Noida Shilp Haat, were reviewed in detail during a virtual meeting chaired by Chief Development Officer Shivakant Dwivedi on Thursday. The meeting was organized to ensure that all arrangements for the event are completed in a timely, coordinated, and effective manner.

The virtual review meeting was attended by senior officials from the district administration, development authorities, police department, and various line departments. The Chief Development Officer conducted a department-wise assessment of the preparations underway ahead of the state-level celebrations, which aim to commemorate the historical foundation of Uttar Pradesh and showcase the state’s cultural, social, and developmental achievements to the public.

Focus on Theme-Based

During the meeting, the Chief Development Officer emphasized that Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 is being organized on the theme “Developed Uttar Pradesh – Developed India.” He instructed all departments to ensure that their activities, exhibitions, and programmes align with this central theme and present a clear picture of the state’s development journey, governance initiatives, and public welfare schemes.

He stressed that all programmes should be meaningful, purposeful, and beneficial for the general public. According to him, the event should not merely be ceremonial in nature, but should also serve as an informative and engaging platform for citizens to understand government initiatives and achievements.

Directions on Stalls and Exhibitions

The Chief Development Officer directed all departments to complete the process of stall allocation well in advance and ensure timely preparation of their exhibition spaces. Departments were asked to prominently display information related to their respective schemes, achievements, innovations, and public welfare programmes.

He said that exhibition stalls should be designed to be attractive, informative, and interactive, enabling visitors to easily understand the benefits of various government initiatives. The focus, he said, should be on effective communication with the public so that information reaches people in a simple and impactful manner.

Coordination for Cultural and Other Programmes

The meeting also reviewed preparations for cultural programmes, seminars, competitions, and felicitation ceremonies to be held during Uttar Pradesh Day 2026. The Chief Development Officer instructed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure smooth execution of these events.

Special emphasis was laid on providing platforms to local artists, writers, craftsmen, youth, women’s groups, farmers, sportspersons, and entrepreneurs. He noted that involving local talent would not only enrich the programme but also strengthen public participation and ownership of the event.

Felicitation of Distinguished Individuals

The Chief Development Officer directed departments to promptly submit lists of distinguished individuals from their respective sectors, including eminent personalities, outstanding sportspersons, notable artists, youth achievers, and other talented individuals. These individuals will be honored during Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 for their contributions in various fields.

He further instructed that the framework and schedule for felicitation ceremonies be finalized well in time to avoid last-minute delays and ensure a dignified आयोजन.

Integration of Important National and Social Occasions

Officials were informed that several important national and social observances will be integrated into the Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 programme. These include Youth Day, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, National Tourism Day, Voter Awareness Day, and Republic Day.

The Chief Development Officer said that incorporating these occasions would enhance the social and national significance of the event and help connect the celebrations with broader themes of patriotism, civic responsibility, tourism promotion, and youth engagement.

Uttar Pradesh Day as a Platform of Identity and Pride

Addressing the officials, the Chief Development Officer said that Uttar Pradesh Day is not just a festival but a powerful platform to showcase the state’s identity, pride, and development journey. He urged all officers to work with full responsibility, coordination, and sensitivity so that the event becomes grand, inclusive, and memorable with active public participation.

He emphasized that the success of the event would depend on teamwork and timely execution at every level.

Officials Present in the Meeting

Several senior district-level officers participated in the virtual review meeting, including District Development Officer Shiv Pratap Parmesh, Deputy Commissioner Industries Anil Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Satish Kumar, District Inspector of Schools Geeta Bhati, Lead District Manager Rajesh Kataria, District Youth Welfare Officer Mahipal Singh, District Economics and Statistics Officer Kumud Chaudhary, In-charge Sports Officer Parvez Ali, and Chief Veterinary Officer Arun Kumar, along with other departmental officers.

The district administration expressed confidence that with coordinated efforts and timely planning, Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 at Noida Shilp Haat will emerge as a well-organized and impactful event, reflecting the cultural richness, governance initiatives, and development vision of the state.
