Under the Special Campaign, Forms 6, 7 and 8 Will Be Accepted at Polling Stations on Saturday, 17 January

Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) and Sub-District Election Officer Atul Kumar informed that, as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the programme for the Special Intensive Revision–2026 of the Assembly Electoral Rolls has been issued based on the qualifying date 01.01.2026. According to the schedule, the draft publication of electoral rolls was carried out on 06.01.2026, and the period for filing claims and objections has been fixed from 06.01.2026 to 06.02.2026.
He stated that during this period, four special campaign dates have been scheduled to facilitate citizens. These special campaign days will be held on 17.01.2026 (Saturday), 18.01.2026 (Sunday), 31.01.2026 (Saturday) and 01.02.2026 (Sunday).
Details of Forms Used in the Revision Process Are as Follows:
- Form-6:
For registration of new voters applying for the first time. - Form-6A:
For registration of overseas electors in the electoral roll. - Form-7:
For objections regarding inclusion of names in the electoral roll and for deletion of previously included names. - Form-8:
For change of residence, correction of entries in the electoral roll, replacement of the Elector Photo Identity Card, and marking of persons with disabilities.
He further informed that on the special campaign dates, all Booth Level Officers will remain present at their respective polling stations from 10:30 am to 04:30 pm to receive Forms 6, 7 and 8 and provide necessary assistance to applicants.
Applicants may submit their duly filled forms (along with photograph, address proof, date of birth proof and declaration form) at the following locations:
- Booth Level Officer (BLO) at the respective polling booth
- Voter Registration Centre (VRC) at the tehsil
- Office of the Tehsildar / Assistant Electoral Registration Officer
- Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Electoral Registration Officer
- Office of the District Magistrate / District Election Officer
Note:
Voters who are completing 18 years of age must submit Form-6 along with the declaration form. Other eligible voters may also apply as per guidelines. Voters above 24 years of age who wish to add their name to the electoral roll must use Form-8.
