Residents of Greater Noida West are set to benefit from improved power supply as the capacity of the 33 KV substation at Itahra is being increased. An additional 10 MVA transformer will soon be installed, connected to the 220 KV substation at Jalpura. This enhancement will ensure more stable and improved electricity distribution to Greater Noida West residents.

ACE0 Sunil Kumar Singh and ACEO Prerna Singh of the Greater Noida Authority inspected the substation and directed that it be energized within two weeks. Currently, the substation has a capacity of 20 MVA, which will increase to 30 MVA. The line from Jalpura to Itahra has been nearly completed, with an investment of approximately Rs 8 crore. Senior Manager Ashwini Chaturvedi, Manager Anoj Kumar Anand, and Assistant Manager Manoj Kumar were also present during the inspection.
Both ACEOs also inspected the 20 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Sector Ecotech-3. Key parameters of treated water, including BOD, COD, TSS, TN, and pH, were tested and found within standard limits. Maintenance of gardens and buildings in the STP premises is ongoing, and chlorination levels were recorded at 5.0 PPM. Officers instructed that a strategy be prepared to maximize the use of treated water.

The STP treats sewage from the industrial area Ecotech-3 and nearby villages including Habibpur, Sutyana, Jalpura, Haldouni, and Kulesra. Manager Sandhya Singh, Assistant Manager Riazuddin, and representatives of the executing agency were present during the inspection.
This initiative by the Greater Noida Authority will not only enhance power supply stability but also contribute to effective water management and environmental protection. The additional transformer will ensure better electricity for residents and accelerate development in both industrial and residential sectors.
