Noida: February 09, 2026 —
In an important step toward improving communication, compliance, and transparency between entrepreneurs and tax authorities, the Noida Entrepreneurs Association organized a GST awareness and interaction seminar at the NEA Building in Sector-6. The event was held in collaboration with the Goods and Services Tax Department and witnessed active participation from senior tax officials and a large number of entrepreneurs from the region.

The primary objective of the seminar was to create an open platform where business owners could directly interact with GST officials, raise their concerns, and gain clarity on procedural and compliance-related matters. The initiative reflected a growing emphasis on dialogue-based governance, where policy implementation is supported through awareness, guidance, and timely redressal of genuine issues faced by taxpayers.
Senior officers from the GST Department attended the seminar and addressed various operational and technical aspects of GST. During the session, officials provided detailed explanations on GST rules, filing procedures, compliance requirements, and recent updates affecting businesses. Entrepreneurs present at the seminar raised several practical issues related to assessments, returns, refunds, and procedural delays, many of which were addressed on the spot by departmental officers.
Several matters requiring detailed examination were noted by the department, with officials assuring time-bound action and appropriate decisions. This assurance was welcomed by the business community, which has consistently emphasized the need for predictability and responsiveness in tax administration.
During the interaction, representatives of the Noida Entrepreneurs Association highlighted the importance of mutual trust and cooperation between entrepreneurs and the tax department. It was emphasized that honest and compliant businesses form the backbone of economic growth and contribute significantly to revenue generation, employment, and industrial development. The association reiterated its commitment to promoting ethical business practices and made it clear that there would be no support for non-compliance or unfair practices.
At the same time, it was underlined that genuine issues faced by entrepreneurs should be addressed promptly and fairly. Timely departmental support in resolving legitimate concerns was described as essential for maintaining business confidence and ensuring smooth operations, particularly in a competitive industrial environment like Noida.
Officials from the GST Department acknowledged the concerns raised by entrepreneurs and assured that efforts would be made to further streamline processes and enhance ease of compliance. Emphasis was laid on the role of awareness and proactive communication in reducing disputes and misunderstandings related to GST implementation.
One of the key suggestions that emerged during the seminar was the creation of a joint coordination group between GST officials and NEA representatives. The proposed group would function as a direct communication channel, enabling faster resolution of issues and reducing procedural delays. The idea received positive feedback, with officials expressing willingness to strengthen institutional coordination for the benefit of the business community.
The seminar concluded on a constructive note, with both sides agreeing that continuous engagement, transparency, and mutual respect are essential for effective tax administration and sustainable industrial growth. Participants noted that such initiatives not only improve compliance but also build confidence among entrepreneurs, encouraging them to expand operations and contribute further to regional economic development.
The event saw the presence of NEA leadership and members, including Vipin Kumar Malhan, V.K. Seth, Alok Kumar Gupta, Sudhir Srivastava, Anil Gupta, Atul Verma, Anil Agrawal, Kamal Kumar, Manoj Srivastava, Gaurav Kapoor, Pradeep Agrawal, Praveen Gupta, Sandeep Mittal, Sandeep Virmani, Sushil Sood, Arvind Sharma, along with a large number of entrepreneurs from various industrial sectors.
The seminar was widely regarded as a meaningful step toward building a cooperative and transparent ecosystem between industry and the GST Department in Noida.
