According to the Authority, such landmark structures play an important role in modernising the city’s urban landscape and creating visually appealing public spaces. The Clock Tower project has been described as part of a broader plan aimed at developing Noida as a modern, well-planned and aesthetically strong urban centre. Through these steps, the Authority conveyed a clear message that development and human welfare will continue to receive equal priority.

Allocation Letters Issued to 10 Major Entrepreneurs
With the objective of giving fresh momentum to economic activity, the Noida Authority also took key decisions related to industrial development under the e-auction scheme for the financial year 2025–26. Under this initiative, allocation letters for industrial plots were issued to 10 major entrepreneurs, opening the door for large-scale private investment in the region.
Prominent companies among the allottees include Haldiram Snacks Private Limited, Nexem Energy, Nelumbo Technologies and D and Grandsons. Officials said the total area of the allotted industrial plots is around 20,366 square metres. Through the proposed projects on these plots, an investment of approximately ₹600 crore is expected to flow into the Noida region.

Industrial Base to Be Strengthened
According to the Authority, the proposed investment will not only strengthen Noida’s industrial base but will also boost allied and support industries. Officials noted that increased industrial activity will lead to faster economic growth and help position Noida as a stronger industrial hub within the National Capital Region. Employment Opportunities for 2,200 People

Blankets Distributed to 150 Contract Workers
Alongside development and investment, the Noida Authority has also placed social welfare and humanitarian concerns high on its New Year agenda. Keeping in view the severe cold conditions, the Authority distributed blankets to around 150 contract workers employed in the Horticulture Department and Public Health Department.
These workers play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, greenery and public health across the city and continue to perform their duties even under adverse weather conditions.
