According to the Authority, such landmark structures play an important role in modernising the city’s urban landscape and creating visually appealing public spaces. The Clock Tower project has been described as part of a broader plan aimed at developing Noida as a modern, well-planned and aesthetically strong urban centre. The CEO stated that similar initiatives will be taken up in the future to project Noida as a model city with world-class infrastructure and urban design.

Noida Authority Welcomes New Year 2026 with Commitment to Development, Investment and Public Welfare

Under the direction of the CEO, the Noida Authority began the New Year 2026 with several major initiatives focused on development, industrial investment, employment generation and worker welfare. The decisions taken on the occasion of the New Year reflect the Authority’s continued commitment to planned urban growth, economic progress and inclusive governance.

On the first day of 2026, the CEO undertook key initiatives aimed at giving Noida a renewed identity, accelerating industrial activity and strengthening social responsibility. Through these steps, the Authority conveyed a clear message that development and human welfare will continue to receive equal priority.

Allocation Letters Issued to 10 Major Entrepreneurs

With the objective of giving fresh momentum to economic activity, the Noida Authority also took key decisions related to industrial development under the e-auction scheme for the financial year 2025–26. Under this initiative, allocation letters for industrial plots were issued to 10 major entrepreneurs, opening the door for large-scale private investment in the region.

Prominent companies among the allottees include Haldiram Snacks Private Limited, Nexem Energy, Nelumbo Technologies and D and Grandsons. Officials said the total area of the allotted industrial plots is around 20,366 square metres. Through the proposed projects on these plots, an investment of approximately ₹600 crore is expected to flow into the Noida region.

Industrial Base to Be Strengthened

According to the Authority, the proposed investment will not only strengthen Noida’s industrial base but will also boost allied and support industries. Officials noted that increased industrial activity will lead to faster economic growth and help position Noida as a stronger industrial hub within the National Capital Region. The initiative is expected to enhance Noida’s competitiveness and attract further investment in the coming years.

Employment Opportunities for 2,200 People

The initiative is also being seen as significant from an employment perspective. With the commencement of the proposed industrial projects, around 2,200 new jobs are expected to be created. The Authority stated that this will provide better employment opportunities for local youth and expand livelihood options. The move has been described as a strong step towards the goal of self-reliance by generating sustainable employment within the region.

Blankets Distributed to 150 Contract Workers

Alongside development and investment, the Noida Authority has also placed social welfare and humanitarian concerns high on its New Year agenda. Keeping in view the severe cold conditions, the Authority distributed blankets to around 150 contract workers employed in the Horticulture Department and Public Health Department.
These workers play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, greenery and public health across the city and continue to perform their duties even under adverse weather conditions. Officials said the blanket distribution drive was aimed at providing relief and protection to workers during the winter season. The initiative reflects the Authority’s respect for its workforce and its commitment to their welfare and dignity.

New Year Begins with Positive and Forward-Looking Vision

Senior officials present during the New Year programme said that the balanced focus on infrastructure development, industrial expansion and worker welfare represents an effective model of urban governance. By integrating growth-oriented initiatives with human-centric measures, the Noida Authority has begun 2026 with a positive and forward-looking approach.

The Authority also clarified that similar development-oriented and people-centric initiatives will continue in the coming months to ensure planned growth, economic resilience and continuous improvement in the quality of life of Noida’s residents.

All Senior Officials of Noida Authority Present at the Programme

The New Year programme was attended by several senior officials of the Noida Authority, including CEO Dr Lokesh M, Additional CEOs Krishna Karunesh, Vandana Tripathi and Satish Pal, Finance Controller Nijalingappa, OSD Kranti Shekhar, General Managers SP Singh and RP Singh, Deputy General Manager Vijay Rawal, Director of the Horticulture Department Anand Mohan Singh, Circle Officers Satyendra Giri and Praveen Saloniya, along with other officials.
