Gautam Buddh Nagar, March 14, 2026:
A special inspection drive is being carried out across Gautam Buddh Nagar to curb the commercial misuse of LPG cylinders, black marketing, illegal refilling, and other related unlawful activities. The campaign is being conducted on the instructions of the District Magistrate to ensure strict monitoring of LPG distribution and compliance with regulatory norms in the district.
To implement the drive effectively, joint teams have been constituted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Magistrates and the City Magistrate. The teams include officials from the Weights and Measures Department, the Food and Civil Supplies Department, and representatives of oil companies. These teams have been assigned the responsibility of conducting inspections at LPG agencies, fuel stations, and other establishments to check compliance with rules and prevent illegal activities.
According to the District Supply Officer, the joint inspection teams recently conducted checks at several locations across the district. During the inspection drive in Dadri tehsil, teams visited multiple gas agencies including Rupwas Indane Gramin Vitrak in Rupwas, Raghav Bharat Gas Agency in Chithera, Dhanpal Bharat Gas Agency in Sector 122 of Noida, Happy Bharat Gas Agency in Nithari, Aradhika Indane in Sector 54, and the Indane Gas Agency located in Nagar Panchayat Jewar under Jewar tehsil.
Officials reported that during the inspections, adequate stock of LPG cylinders was found at all the gas agencies visited. In addition, licenses related to weights, measures, and other regulatory requirements were found to be updated and valid at the inspected agencies.
Apart from gas agencies, the inspection teams also carried out checks at fuel retail outlets. As part of the drive, Jewar Filling Station located in Jewar tehsil was inspected. During the inspection, officials verified licenses related to weights and measurements at the petrol pump and found them to be updated and in compliance with regulations.
The inspection team also examined facilities available at the petrol pump. Clean drinking water, air-filling facilities, and toilet facilities were found to be properly maintained and hygienic. Officials also confirmed that sufficient quantities of petrol and diesel were available at the fuel station at the time of inspection.
The District Supply Officer stated that such inspection drives will continue in the district on a regular basis to ensure transparency in the distribution of LPG and petroleum products. The initiative aims to prevent black marketing, illegal refilling of LPG cylinders, and other irregularities that may affect consumers.
Officials emphasized that strict monitoring and coordinated efforts by the concerned departments will help maintain accountability in the supply chain and ensure that LPG and petroleum products reach consumers through authorized channels.
The administration has reiterated its commitment to enforcing regulations related to LPG and petroleum distribution in the district. Continuous inspections and joint enforcement operations will be conducted to deter illegal practices and ensure that safety standards and legal requirements are followed by agencies and retailers.
