The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority continued its encroachment removal drive across Noida on Thursday as part of its daily initiative to keep roads and public spaces accessible and traffic-free. The action was conducted under work circles 1 to 10, targeting illegal vendors, street hawkers, and unauthorized structures.

The authority stated that the ongoing campaign aims to provide residents with smooth traffic movement and clear public spaces. Unauthorized vendors and roadside encroachments often obstruct roads and footpaths, leading to traffic congestion and safety concerns for pedestrians and commuters.
On February 12, encroachments were removed from 18 locations, including Sectors 44, 45, 62, 66, 67, 68, 70, 80, 81, 108 (commercial plots), 121 MP-3 Road, 135, 150, Phase-2, FNG Road, Nagla Charandas T-point, and Cantt Road in Sector-87.

The encroachment removal teams cleared illegal structures from roadsides and footpaths to restore traffic flow. Officials ensured that the operation was carried out smoothly without causing inconvenience to the general public.
According to the authority, a large number of complaints regarding illegal vendors are regularly received from residents, RWAs, industrial organizations, and other sources. The daily drive has been initiated to address these grievances effectively.

Officials clarified that the drive is a continuous process and not a one-time exercise. Similar actions will be undertaken in other areas in the coming days. Citizens have been encouraged to report unauthorized encroachments to enable timely action.
The Noida Authority reiterated that maintaining an organized, safe, and congestion-free city remains a top priority, with focused efforts on improving traffic flow and ensuring safe pedestrian movement.
