Noida, December 17, 2025:
The Noida Authority has taken stringent action against Logix Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and the Logix Blossom County Apartment Owners Association following repeated violations of environmental and water management norms. The move comes after inspections revealed that the sewage treatment plant (STP) at the society’s Plot No. GH-02, Club House, Sector-137, Noida, was not functioning according to prescribed standards, leading to untreated sewage discharge into the local water system, thereby posing serious risks to public health.
The issue was identified during a field inspection conducted by the Authority’s Environment Cell on December 15, 2025, along with prior assessments of the premises. The inspection report highlighted that the untreated sewage was contaminating groundwater and adversely affecting the public, in addition to damaging structures built with public funds. The Authority subsequently imposed a penalty of ₹4,85,000 under relevant environmental laws and informed the Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board for further action.
However, despite repeated warnings and penalties, the society continued to violate environmental regulations, including the Water Act 1974, Air Act 1981, and Solid Waste Management Rules 2000 and 2016. The ongoing non-compliance was also flagged as a violation of Article 272 of the Indian Penal Code, as per the 2023 update, which deals with malignant acts likely to spread diseases dangerous to life. Under this provision, any act knowingly likely to spread life-threatening infections can attract imprisonment of up to two years, a fine, or both.
In response to the persistent violations, the Noida Authority has formally requested the Sector-142 Police Station to immediately register a First Information Report (FIR) against Logix Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and the Logix Blossom County Apartment Owners Association. The request emphasizes urgent legal action to prevent further environmental damage and protect public health in the area.
The Authority’s communication has been shared with senior officials, including the Chief Executive Officer, the Additional CEO, the General Manager (Water/Planning/Public Health), and the Regional Officer of UPPCB, for monitoring and coordinated enforcement. The Environment Cell has also been kept informed to ensure that the investigative process is aligned with the findings of the inspections.
A senior official from the Authority stated, “Our priority is to ensure environmental compliance and safeguard public health. Untreated sewage discharge not only contaminates groundwater but also undermines public infrastructure. Immediate legal action is critical to enforcing accountability and preventing further violations.”
This step reflects the Noida Authority’s proactive approach toward environmental protection and strict enforcement of statutory norms. The FIR registration aims to initiate formal legal proceedings, ensuring that the society addresses its responsibilities and complies with environmental and public health regulations.
By taking swift action against non-compliance, the Authority reinforces its commitment to maintaining a sustainable and safe urban environment in Noida, safeguarding both public health and community infrastructure.
