Gautam Buddh Nagar, May 1, 2026:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath virtually inaugurated a large-scale Mega Health Camp across Gautam Buddh Nagar on the occasion of Labour Day as part of the Shramveer Samman Samaroh 2026. The initiative was aimed at providing accessible, high-quality, and free healthcare services to workers across the district.
The Mega Health Camp was conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at a total of 201 locations, making it one of the largest coordinated healthcare outreach programmes in the district. The initiative saw participation from 134 government hospitals, health and wellness centres, and mobile medical units, along with 67 private hospitals, ensuring extensive coverage across both urban and rural areas.

Leading private healthcare institutions such as Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Max Hospital, Medanta Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Felix Hospital, and Sharda Hospital actively participated in the campaign, significantly enhancing its reach and effectiveness. Officials stated that the collaboration between public and private healthcare providers played a crucial role in delivering comprehensive services to workers.
During the camp, workers were provided with a wide range of free medical services, including general health check-ups, specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, and free distribution of medicines. The initiative also focused on early detection of serious illnesses and providing appropriate medical advice for further treatment where required.

In addition to healthcare services, the camps also served as a platform to spread awareness about various government welfare schemes. Workers were informed about social security initiatives, skill development programmes, and benefits related to education and welfare of their children. Officials emphasized that such integrated service delivery helps in improving overall quality of life for workers.
A large number of workers from different sectors participated in the Mega Health Camp and availed the services provided. Beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the facilities and appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the efforts of the government in bringing healthcare services closer to their workplaces and residential areas.
The initiative also witnessed active participation from non-governmental organizations. The “Dadi Ki Rasoi” initiative provided free meals to workers attending the camps and distributed essential items such as towels and caps. The organization also conducted street plays to raise awareness about health and social issues, contributing to the overall impact of the programme.

Officials highlighted that the participation of private hospitals and NGOs reflects a strong commitment toward social responsibility and public welfare. The collaborative approach adopted in this initiative has been instrumental in ensuring that services reached a large number of beneficiaries efficiently.
The district administration expressed its appreciation for all departments, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations involved in the successful execution of the Mega Health Camp. Authorities stated that such initiatives will continue in the future to ensure that workers and citizens have access to essential services in a convenient and effective manner.
The Mega Health Camp marks a significant step toward strengthening healthcare access and worker welfare in Gautam Buddh Nagar, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to inclusive development and public service delivery.
