Noida Authority carried out a major anti-encroachment drive in Sorkha Zahidabad village and cleared nearly 5000 square meters of illegally occupied land. The joint operation was conducted by teams from Work Circle-6, the land records department, and the police department. During the action, illegally constructed precast boundary walls and gates erected for unauthorized plotting were demolished.

Officials stated that the land falls within the notified area of the Noida Authority and that illegal plotting activities were being prepared by land mafias. The operation is being viewed as part of a wider campaign against illegal encroachments and unauthorized developments across the region.

Joint Team Conducted Large Anti-Encroachment Drive

The anti-encroachment operation was carried out on May 20, 2026, at Khasra number 152 in Sorkha Zahidabad village. Around 80 officials, employees, and police personnel participated in the drive to ensure smooth execution of the demolition process.

Two JCB machines were deployed to remove the illegal structures from the site. Authorities demolished boundary walls, gates, and other temporary constructions that had been erected to occupy the land unlawfully.

Heavy police presence was maintained during the operation to prevent any law and order issues. Officials confirmed that the land belongs to the notified area under the Noida Authority, making any unauthorized construction or plotting illegal under existing regulations.

Land Mafia Preparing Illegal Plotting on Acquired Land

According to officials, encroachers had already started preparing the land for illegal plotting. Precast boundary walls and a large gate had been installed to project the area as private property and attract potential buyers.

Authorities warned that such illegal plotting activities often lead to financial fraud, where innocent buyers are trapped into purchasing disputed or acquired land using fake promises and forged documentation.

Officials stated that the encroachers had already been served notices twice before the demolition drive. However, no response was received from them, forcing the authority to proceed with demolition action as per legal provisions.

Public Warned Against Buying Illegal Plots

The Noida Authority has appealed to the public to remain cautious while purchasing land in notified or acquired areas. Officials warned that land mafias often mislead buyers by offering plots on disputed land without legal approval.

The authority clarified that any illegal construction carried out on acquired or notified land would eventually face demolition. Buyers involved in unauthorized transactions may also face legal complications in the future.

Residents and investors have been advised to verify land ownership and approvals with the concerned authority before entering into any property transaction.

More Action Planned Against Illegal Construction

Officials stated that anti-encroachment drives and demolition actions will continue across the Noida Authority region. Areas receiving complaints related to illegal occupation and unauthorized plotting are being monitored closely.

Authorities emphasized that illegal constructions not only disrupt planned urban development but also put pressure on civic infrastructure and public facilities. As a result, the administration has adopted a stricter approach toward such activities.

With rapid urban expansion taking place across Noida and nearby areas, the authority is now intensifying efforts to secure government land and prevent illegal developments. More large-scale operations against encroachments are expected in the coming months.
