Preparations for the first phase of India’s Census 2027 have gained momentum in Greater Noida with the launch of a three-day training camp for enumerators and supervisors. The training is being conducted by the Greater Noida Authority at the GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management located in Knowledge Park-4. Around 3000 personnel are scheduled to be trained under this initiative to ensure systematic and accurate execution of house listing and enumeration tasks.

Inspection of Training Camp
On the first day, the training camp was inspected by officials to review the arrangements and assess the effectiveness of the program. The inspection covered aspects such as participation levels, training structure, and availability of resources. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that all participants receive clear and comprehensive guidance during the sessions.
Focus on Mandatory Participation
During the visit, it was highlighted that census work is a critical national exercise and requires full commitment from all personnel involved. Participants were instructed to take the training seriously and engage actively so they can perform their field duties efficiently. The importance of understanding and applying the training inputs in real scenarios was also stressed.
Attendance and Absenteeism Noted
Action Against Absentees
Authorities have stated that show-cause notices will be issued to those who were absent from the training. If satisfactory explanations are not provided or if they fail to attend future sessions, departmental action will be initiated against them. This step aims to maintain discipline and ensure the effectiveness of the training process.
The training camp is considered a crucial step toward the successful execution of Census 2027. It is designed to equip personnel with both technical knowledge and practical skills required to carry out their responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
