Greater Noida
In a significant step towards promoting investment in the Information Technology (IT) sector, the Greater Noida Authority has launched a focused initiative to engage directly with IT companies and plot allottees. Acting on the directions of the Chief Executive Officer, NG Ravi Kumar, the Authority’s team is interacting with stakeholders to understand sector-specific challenges and gather practical suggestions for their resolution.
Senior officials of the Authority are actively involved in this outreach exercise. Greater Noida offers immense potential for the growth of the IT sector due to its robust infrastructure, availability of land, and strategic location within the National Capital Region. The upcoming operationalization of the Noida International Airport is expected to further enhance investment prospects in the region.
The Authority plans to introduce a new IT plot scheme in the near future. However, the CEO has emphasized that before launching any new scheme, it is essential to address the concerns of existing allottees and prospective investors to ensure a conducive business environment.
As part of this initiative, Additional Chief Executive Officer Sunil Kumar Singh and Additional Chief Executive Officer Prerna Singh recently visited five IT companies located in Techzone-4—Ocean Infra Heights, SPI IT, Advance Computsoft, Artha Infratech, and Bhutani IT Park. During the visits, the officers held detailed discussions with company management and representatives on various issues affecting the IT sector.
The discussions covered key aspects such as desired improvements in IT plot allotment conditions, challenges faced after allotment in starting operations, and the categories of IT services and activities with the highest growth potential. The officers assured the company representatives that their suggestions would be placed before the higher authorities for consideration.
ACE0 Sunil Kumar Singh stated that the Greater Noida Authority is fully committed to supporting the growth of the IT sector. The suggestions received from IT companies will be presented to the Authority’s Board and the State Government, and further steps will be taken after obtaining the necessary approvals.
The initiative aims to position Greater Noida as a strong and competitive IT hub, fostering investment, generating employment opportunities, and contributing to the overall economic development of the region.
