Coordination Meeting Held Under the Chairmanship of the District Magistrate with Officers of Concerned Departments

To commemorate the historic foundation of Uttar Pradesh and to ensure that the cultural, social and developmental achievements of the state reach the masses, preparations are underway across the district for the grand celebration of Uttar Pradesh Day–2026, scheduled to be held from 24 to 26 January 2026. All departments of the district administration have begun working on their respective responsibilities to ensure a successful and memorable event.

A detailed review and coordination meeting was organised in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Medha Rupam. Officers from all concerned departments participated in the meeting, where an in-depth assessment of preparations was conducted.
The District Magistrate informed that Uttar Pradesh Day–2026 will be celebrated this year with the theme “Developed Uttar Pradesh – Developed India.” As per the directions of the state government, the main state-level programme will be held at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow. At the district level, a wide range of cultural, literary, social and development-oriented programmes will be organised. These programmes will provide a dedicated platform to local artists, writers, poets and cultural institutions to showcase their talent.
The District Magistrate instructed all departments to ensure the successful organisation of exhibitions, seminars, cultural events and competitions through proper coordination. During the meeting, it was also informed that several significant occasions—such as Youth Day, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, National Tourism Day, Voter Awareness Day and Republic Day—will be integrated into the Uttar Pradesh Day celebration programmes.
She stated that exhibitions based on One District–One Product (ODOP), startups, ease of doing business, Mission Shakti, tourism, art and culture, history and various government schemes will be set up in the district. Additionally, youths, women, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, doctors and talented individuals who have performed exceptionally in their respective fields will be honoured.
The District Magistrate emphasised that Uttar Pradesh Day–2026 is not just a celebration but a strong medium to reflect the identity, pride and developmental journey of the state. She directed all departments to perform their duties responsibly so that the event can be grand, exemplary and memorable with active public participation.
The meeting was attended by District Development Officer Shiv Pratap Parmesh, District Social Welfare Officer Satish Kumar, District Inspector of Schools Rajesh Singh, District Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar, along with district-level officers from the Authority, Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and other concerned departments.
