The Greater Noida Authority has provided major relief to farmers of Bisrakh Jalalpur village by allotting long-pending 6 percent residential plots. During the allocation process conducted on Tuesday, 11 residential plots were allotted to 10 farmers. Out of these, 8 plots of identical size were allotted through a transparent draw system, while 3 plots of different sizes were directly allotted to eligible farmers. The entire procedure was documented through photography and videography to ensure transparency.
The allotment process was conducted in the presence of farmers at the authority office to maintain fairness and eliminate any possibility of dispute. Officials including OSD Gunja Singh, Senior Planning Manager Sudhir Kumar, Manager Pramod Kumar, and Manager Kapil Tongad supervised the proceedings. Farmers expressed satisfaction after the successful completion of the process.
The land of farmers from Bisrakh Jalalpur had been acquired years ago for development projects in Greater Noida. Under the rehabilitation policy, eligible farmers were entitled to receive 6 percent developed residential plots in return for their acquired land. However, due to administrative delays and pending procedures, the allotment remained unresolved for a long period.
Farmers had repeatedly approached authority officials regarding their pending plots. Recently, they also met Greater Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer NG Ravi Kumar and demanded immediate allotment of their residential plots. Taking the matter seriously, the Chief Executive Officer directed the concerned departments to expedite the process and ensure timely allotment to eligible beneficiaries.
Following these directions, the planning department and the 6 percent residential plot department jointly reviewed pending cases and finalized the allotment process. The action carried out on Tuesday was part of the same initiative aimed at resolving long-standing farmer issues.
According to officials, a draw system was adopted for 8 plots because they were of equal size, ensuring fairness and transparency in allocation. The remaining 3 plots differed in size and therefore did not require a draw. These plots were directly allotted to the respective farmers.
OSD Gunja Singh stated that providing 6 percent residential plots to farmers remains one of the top priorities of the Greater Noida Authority. She further said that eligible farmers from other villages would also receive their pending residential plots in the coming phases.
The issue of pending residential plot allotments has remained a major concern in Greater Noida for several years. Large-scale land acquisition for urban development projects had affected many villages across the region. Although compensation policies included residential plot benefits, delays in implementation often led to dissatisfaction among farmers.
Several farmer groups had organized demonstrations and submitted memorandums demanding faster resolution of pending allotments. In this context, the allotment to Bisrakh Jalalpur farmers is being viewed as an important administrative step that may restore confidence among affected landowners.
Farmers who received the plots said that they had waited for years to obtain their rightful benefits. Many beneficiaries expressed hope that the remaining pending cases in other villages would also be resolved soon. According to them, residential plots in developed sectors will provide long-term financial and social security to farming families.
Urban development experts believe that timely allotment of residential plots strengthens trust between authorities and farmers. Cooperation from local landowners is considered essential for the successful execution of large infrastructure and township projects. Transparent processes such as public draws and recorded proceedings help create a positive environment for future development initiatives.
The authority also emphasized transparency by conducting complete photography and videography of the process. Officials said such documentation would help address any future disputes or complaints related to allotments. Similar transparent mechanisms are expected to be adopted in upcoming allocation drives as well.
The Bisrakh Jalalpur case had become significant because farmers from the village had been pursuing their claims for a long time. Multiple meetings and representations had failed to produce results earlier. With the completion of the allotment process, a sense of relief and satisfaction is now visible among local residents and beneficiaries.
The Greater Noida Authority is now preparing to accelerate action on other pending village cases. Officials stated that verification of eligible farmers and identification of available plots are being carried out in phases to ensure smooth allotment in the future. This initiative is expected to provide relief to many landowners affected by development projects across the region.
The allotment is also being seen as part of broader efforts by the authority to improve farmer relations and reduce pending rehabilitation disputes. As Greater Noida continues to expand rapidly with new infrastructure and urban projects, ensuring fair compensation and rehabilitation for farmers remains a crucial administrative responsibility.
Observers believe that the successful completion of this allotment process could encourage faster resolution of similar cases in neighboring villages. Farmers and local representatives are now expecting the authority to maintain the same pace in clearing other pending residential plot claims.
