The Farmer Day program in Gautam Buddh Nagar district will now be organized on May 20 2026 to address agricultural and farmer related issues. According to information released by the district administration and agriculture department, the event was earlier scheduled for May 13 2026 but has now been rescheduled due to administrative reasons. The revised program will take place on Wednesday May 20.

Deputy Director of Agriculture Gautam Buddh Nagar Rajiv Kumar informed farmers that the primary objective of the Farmer Day program is to ensure timely resolution of agriculture related problems faced by farmers in the district. Through this platform, farmers can directly present their grievances before administrative officers and departmental officials.

The Farmer Day program is considered highly important for the farming community because it creates direct communication between farmers and government departments. Farmers can raise issues related to crop cultivation, irrigation, fertilizers, seeds, electricity supply, crop insurance, land disputes, and benefits under various government schemes.

Officials said that representatives from multiple departments participate in the program so that problems can be resolved efficiently at the administrative level. The district administration aims to provide maximum benefits of government welfare schemes to farmers while ensuring speedy resolution of pending complaints.

Agriculture experts believe that such programs play a significant role in strengthening coordination between rural communities and government authorities. In rapidly developing districts such as Gautam Buddh Nagar, farmers often face challenges related to changing land use patterns, irrigation facilities, compensation issues, and agricultural infrastructure.

During the Farmer Day event, officials and agriculture experts also provide guidance regarding modern farming techniques, advanced seeds, organic farming, water conservation, crop management, weather based farming practices, and efficient irrigation systems. Farmers are also informed about newly launched schemes of the central and state governments.

Rajiv Kumar appealed to farmers to attend the event with written applications and relevant documents related to their complaints so that officials can process their issues effectively. He added that organizing the event near the district headquarters allows greater participation from farmers across the district.

According to officials, records of complaints received during the program are maintained carefully and concerned departments are directed to take action within a fixed time period. Pending cases are reviewed in subsequent meetings to ensure accountability and faster grievance redressal.

Experts say that unresolved agricultural issues often lead to financial difficulties for farmers. Through Farmer Day programs, authorities attempt to resolve such issues on priority basis and improve implementation of welfare schemes in rural areas.

Apart from traditional farming, activities such as dairy farming, horticulture, and livestock management are also expanding rapidly in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Therefore, awareness regarding modern agricultural practices and technology has become increasingly important for local farmers.

Many farmers have welcomed the initiative and said that such platforms help them communicate directly with district officials without procedural delays. Several farmers stated that previous Farmer Day programs helped resolve their complaints and provided them access to government benefits.

The district administration has urged farmers to participate in large numbers on the scheduled date and carry all necessary documents related to their complaints. Officials believe that active participation from farmers will help improve the effectiveness of grievance resolution efforts.

According to the press release issued by the Information Department Gautam Buddh Nagar, Farmer Day serves as an important medium for coordination between farmers and the administration. Authorities believe that regular interaction with farmers can help strengthen the agricultural sector and improve rural development.

Officials also indicated that similar farmer welfare programs and awareness initiatives will continue in the future. The agriculture department aims to encourage scientific farming methods and enhance agricultural productivity through continuous engagement with the farming community.

With agriculture remaining an important livelihood source for many families in the district, the administration considers timely grievance resolution and farmer support programs essential for balanced rural development and long term agricultural growth.
