A major review meeting regarding the implementation of the Right to Education admission process was held in Gautam Buddh Nagar under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer. The meeting, organized at the Collectorate auditorium, focused on reviewing the progress of admissions for children belonging to disadvantaged and weaker sections under the Right to Education Act for the academic session 2026-27. Additional District Magistrate Administration Manglesh Dubey was also present during the review session.
During the meeting, officials conducted a detailed assessment of the ongoing admission process in private schools across the district. Administrative authorities emphasized that the primary objective of the RTE scheme is to provide quality education opportunities to children from economically weaker and disadvantaged backgrounds. Officials stated that active cooperation from private schools is essential to ensure timely admissions and effective implementation of the scheme.
The Chief Development Officer instructed all private schools to complete admissions according to their allocated targets within the prescribed timeline. He also directed schools to regularly update all admission-related information on the education department portal to maintain transparency and ensure smooth monitoring of the process. Authorities stated that digital systems are being increasingly used to strengthen oversight and improve the efficiency of the admission mechanism.
During the review meeting, Additional District Magistrate Administration Manglesh Dubey instructed school managements to maintain a positive and cooperative approach toward parents and children during the admission process. He emphasized that no eligible child should face unnecessary difficulties while seeking admission under the RTE scheme.
He further stated that providing quality education to eligible children is a collective responsibility shared by the government, educational institutions, and society. The administration also directed the education department to issue notices to schools that remained absent during the review meeting, indicating that non-compliance in the admission process would be taken seriously.
District Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar informed officials that admissions are being conducted through an online application system followed by document verification and lottery-based school allotment. He explained that digital processes are being used to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in the allocation of seats.
Officials stated that children selected under the RTE scheme receive free education in private schools. In addition, financial support is also provided for educational materials and school uniforms to help economically weaker families manage educational expenses. The scheme is aimed at promoting equal educational opportunities and reducing social inequality through access to quality schooling.
District Inspector of Schools Rajesh Kumar Singh, along with principals and management representatives from various private schools across the district, attended the meeting. Officials reiterated that the successful implementation of the RTE scheme requires coordinated efforts from all stakeholders involved in the education system.
Education experts believe that the Right to Education Act has played a transformative role in improving educational access for children from weaker sections of society. Regular monitoring and administrative review meetings such as this are expected to improve transparency and ensure that deserving students receive admission benefits without delays or discrimination.
Authorities stated that the administration remains committed to ensuring that every eligible child receives access to education as guaranteed under the law. The ongoing monitoring process is expected to further strengthen the implementation of the RTE admission system in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
