Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 11, 2026
C office auditorium with employers and factory management representatives. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between management and workers while ensuring strict adherence to government guidelines.

During the meeting, several key decisions were taken through dialogue to safeguard the interests of workers and to prevent any recurrence of industrial unrest. The District Magistrate directed all factory managements to mandatorily display government-issued guidelines on their respective notice boards. This step is aimed at eliminating confusion among workers and ensuring transparency in workplace policies.

Clear Guidelines on Worker Rights and Benefits

The District Magistrate clearly stated that no worker should be removed from service without valid and justified reasons. He emphasized that overtime must be paid at double rates without any deductions. Every worker must be granted a weekly holiday, and if work is assigned on Sundays, payment should also be made at double rates.

In addition, all workers must receive bonus payments as per rules, which must be credited to their bank accounts by November 30. The administration also mandated the formation of Internal Committees in every factory to prevent sexual harassment at the workplace, with a woman designated as the chairperson.

To strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms, it was directed that complaint boxes be installed in all factories. Managements were instructed to ensure respectful behavior towards workers at all times. Furthermore, all workers must receive their salaries in full by the 10th of every month, along with mandatory issuance of salary slips.

Assurance Against Retaliatory Action

Addressing concerns arising from recent industrial unrest, the District Magistrate assured that no punitive or retaliatory action will be taken against any worker or representative who participated in the movement. He reiterated that worker rights must be protected under all circumstances.

It was also directed that any wage revision announced by the Uttar Pradesh government will be implemented with effect from the notified date, ensuring that workers receive due benefits without delay.

Strict Enforcement and Monitoring

The District Magistrate instructed all employers and factory managements to ensure 100 percent compliance with the agreed provisions. He made it clear that any violation of workers’ rights would not be tolerated and would invite strict legal action.

Concerned departmental officials have been directed to carry out regular inspections to monitor compliance and review implementation status. These measures aim to ensure that industrial peace and coordination are maintained across the district.

Focus on Worker Convenience and Security

The administration emphasized that workers willing to resume work should not face any inconvenience. For those hesitant to return, factory managements have been advised to engage in constructive dialogue and provide clear information in line with government guidelines.

Additionally, it was directed that CCTV cameras installed at factory entry gates must remain functional at all times to ensure transparency and enhance worker safety. Any issues faced by workers must be reported immediately to the district administration for prompt resolution.

Appeal for Discipline and Trust in Official Information

In conclusion, the District Magistrate appealed to all workers to maintain discipline and peace while continuing their duties. Workers were advised to stay away from rumors and misleading information and rely only on official communication.

The administration reaffirmed its commitment to acting in a fair and sensitive manner, balancing the interests of both workers and employers, and ensuring uninterrupted industrial operations in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
