Gautam Buddha Nagar, February, 2026: The District Magistrate chaired the review meeting of the District Nutrition Committee, attended by all committee members and district-level officials.
Nutrition Tracker and Measurement Progress
The District Program Officer informed the committee that the Nutrition Tracker is being used to monitor the distribution of nutrition supplements and the measurement of children at all Anganwadi centers. The district achieved a progress rate of 98.87% in measurement activities. Identified SAM children are admitted to nutrition rehabilitation centers under the referral process and are being followed up.
Face Recognition-Based Nutrition Distribution
Nutrition distribution at Anganwadi centers is carried out using a face recognition process. Registered beneficiaries’ Aadhaar data has been updated once, and distribution is done only after verification. This process must be completed within one week of nutrition receipt and uploaded to the Nutrition Tracker.
Review of Departmental Programs
The District Program Officer highlighted that the Hot Cook Food Scheme is not currently operational in the district. Technical issues in the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana have resulted in lower district-level progress. The committee was instructed to focus on these issues and take corrective measures.
Progress at Capable Anganwadi Centers
Information was shared on the 83 developing capable Anganwadi centers regarding tasks assigned to implementing agencies and the Rural Engineering Department. The District Magistrate directed that all child development project officers ensure timely and complete nutrition distribution and update the Nutrition Tracker data.
Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana
Regarding slow progress in the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, the District Magistrate instructed that all eligible beneficiaries must be provided benefits promptly. Implementing agencies of the Rural Engineering Department must complete their assigned tasks at capable Anganwadi centers within deadlines and submit reports.
Attending Officials and Conclusion
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Medical Officer Tikam Singh, Block Development Officer Dadri Neha, Block Development Officer Jewar, and other concerned officials. The District Magistrate emphasized that the success of nutrition programs requires strict adherence to timelines and proper execution of all processes.
